Agreed. I've only driven stoned twice, and not too far. But I did notice I was driving exactly the speed limit or just under. Actually, it really doesn't make me drive badly, I'm just too paranoid about getting caught. In fact, it might be the paranoia, combined with attention to detail, that makes you drive so safely when you're stoned.

New York is the same way as Massachusettes. It such a stupid and time consuming process just to be able to drive.

Ya when I drive stoned I'd say I'm a much more cautious driver. I usually pull off into a neighborhood that has some form of a circle in it to smoke. The only time that I've ever been a bad driver when I was high was when I was driving around my friend's neighborhood at 3 AM after I had been to a party and smoked maybe 15 bowls (maybe more) and drank a beer and took 3-4 shots. I don't really remember much of it.. I remember driving around and falling asleep.. whether or not that's because of pot is your call.

However I'd say I've smoked while driving a vehicle many many many times and usually I drive the same as I do while i'm not high, unless I'm turning while holding the bowl at the same time in which case it can be a little jerky.

I've also driven drunk once and I'd say that the two are very different things. Driving high you are still very coherent, while driving drunk it can be kind of choppy (fading in and out) and you have to pay very good attention.

Bottom line is vehicles are very dangerous entities and you should always keep this is the back of your mind. Be aware that with the slightest movements of your arm you have the ability to ruin people's lives.

Road trips are so fun when you're high. I love the open road. A couple times, me and a buddy have driven from Texas to Indiana straight through (about 17 hours) with a quarter of dank. Both times, we left in the evening and drove all night. I hallucinated big time once when it was pitch dark out and there weren't any other cars out. I could see huge lightbulbs floating in the sky. It was the only time I've ever hallucinated from weed, it was nuts. The best part is when you hit dawn and the sun starts coming up and you fire up a blunt. I love it. High driving is great.

I think that idiots that risk the lifes of other people while driving under the influence of anything should be shot.

I drive stoned usually at least once a weekend. I'll be the DD, my friends can get drunk and I can get stoned, we all have a good time. I'm just extra cautious and actually quite a good driver while stoned.

i have to drive tore up/high all the time, every night just about, i only smoke at night, it is fun as hell driving tore up, feels like youre floating, i drive real fast but accurately, ive never been in an accident in my life, and ive owned literally somewhere over 200 vehicles since i was 16 anything from 67-72 chevy trucks to vans to duallies, to a limousine to dump trucks, to caprices, cavaliers, camaros and firebirds, and so forth, i did have someone rear end me when iw as sitting at a red light in my first vehicle a '69 ford F-100 pickup with 240ci and three on the tree and 4.11 9" rear, i got busted one night for burning out on the courthouse square trying to leave a red light in it, i actually wasnt trying to, it happens, theni removed the bed and it got worse, no weight in back at all,

    good luck

My college is 35 minutes away...if there is no traffic. Before every trip I smoke a bowl, cruise up listening to some tunes, sometimes i get there and wish the trip was longer. Especially in heavy traffic...I always light up...really takes the edge off. And it honestly makes me a better driver, I usually drive about 5mph slower than i normally would...and way more cautious of whats going on around me. So yea, I think its great.

You must be a real asshole to your cars if you've gone through 200 vehicles. And trucks, too, for god's sake, those things are hard to break, usually!

Jointman, yeah, riding a bike stoned is definitely awesome. One night I went out, smoked a j and someone walked up behind me on the sidewalk. I knew they must have smelled it (I was right out in the street tokin) I was so freakin paranoid and I just took off as fast as I could. Riding at top speed down dark streets completely stoned, it was so fuckin fun, haha.
