I wrote out this whole great thread for an idea with a sliding scale to compare/contrast different individual aspects of a particular trip and acidentally deleted the whole thing.... so I'm kinda sad right now.

This isn't as good as my intended post was going to be.

I'm not spending another 15 minutes on this. I'm going to give an example of my scale with a fictionial substance to give an idea of what I'm trying to get started. Now I'm going to need a lot of help with the catagoriazation and experianced input as far as the ratings themselves from a vast cross section of you to get a good idea of where we stand here. Pretty much breaking a particular trip down into defineable components, and measuring their effect individually to give a more rounded image of the substance as a whole.

    Substance: 2C-SVI-T-10

Visuals: +++ (Would need to be broken down into further subcatagories ie. Waveing, fracatals, breathing, gridding, ect.)

Body Trip ++++ (Broken down further maybe into Synesthesia, Mergeing, ect)

    Nausea +

Clearheadedness +(little to none in this case :p)

Mind Fuck +++++ (no idea how to begin to break this one down lol)

But I dunno, if it's a shitty idea I guess this thread will die. I wish I had the first post.. it was a lot better... but I don't have the heart to go through all that again

Personally I think this is a great idea, it could be very useful for someone not sure if they want to step up and try different things. You could assign numbers to the effects such as -1 or +1 and come up with a generalized number to work with and compare to other substances.

    :2thumbsup: Good stuff!

Yeah that was what I was going for. Whenever I try to research a substances effects, I'm always left dissapointed in what's to offer. I see this could become quite popular if done right.

Now I know there is a lot of middle ground, as substances effect everyone differently. But no one will argue that certian substances have certian general effects that make them stand out compared to others. And understanding the minor parts that go into making the tripping experiance will lead to a deeper understanding on the whole... which is needed for research.
