rock paper scissors: think about this

i am definetly gonna get told that this post is pointless and i should be shot for it but im willing to accept this. i thought id put it in the marijuana forum since i believe only a stoner would take the time to think of something like this, anyway here it goes:

we all know that in a game of rock paper scissors, scissors beat paper and rock beats scissors, now ive been wondering for a while how exactly does paper beat rock? think about this... if someone holds out a piece of paper from the edges and you slam a big enough rock through it didnt the rock just make a hole in the paper which obvously means its ripped hence rock just beat paper?

well rock cna bend scissors out of shape and scissors can cut rhough paper so maybe when paper "covers" rock its meant to be a lot of paper so that it pads the rock to wher eif its thrown at u it wouldnt really hurt. i dunno. this shoulda been put in the mind fuck forum i think. but yeah....i need some weed.

 

jesus, it means scissors beats paper, cuz u gotta cut up ur bud before rollin a jay, and rock is crack, now if u smoke a joint laced with crack, then ur definately gonna go back for more, hence paper wins..

Me and my friends made up a game called Penis, Vagina, Gonnorhea, Shoot. Penis goes into vagina and beats it. Vagina eats Gonnorrhea and Gonnorhea kills Penis. Yes we were high but its an awesome game to play.

i think it´s because paper can sand down a rock to nothing. "paper covers rock" - yeah, it would take a long time to do, but it would eventually.

thats a pretty good point. thanks i didnt think anyone would actually give me a possible reason for why this is, i expected to get flamed at least now i wont get pissed when i lose to paper with rock whenever i end up playing rock paper scissors for whatever reason again

yeh man, its symbolic. i mean, do you recon you really could destroy scissors with a rock? if you kept smashing it, i dont think it would really break. you d jhave to hit it quite a few times.

but its the concept of the blunt piece of nature overcoming the technology, symbolised by the scissors.

then the paper represents human nature, and the thing that has defined human nature is our technology. human nature can overcome the blunt world that we live in, but technology exposes the weaknesses in humans.

and so, technology beats humanity, humanity beats nature, and nature beats technology.

But doesn't the whole game seem kind of contradictory? I mean, if a > b and b > c, then isn't a > c? If rock beats scissors, and scissors beats paper, then logically, rock should also beat paper, because it's stronger than the thing that DOES beat paper.

yea man i see what ur saying but its not really about whats stronger, its about what item would be better to use against the other item like paper does crappy against scissors cuz scissors are used to cut paper, but rocks arent really used to cut paper.

Also i heard theres a way in which u can never lose at rocks paper scissors. Like theres a certain order u can go in to always win. I don't really see how that would be possible tho.
