Once there was a great king who was building a bridge. Everybody helped building the bridge. There was even a small spider who helped building the bridge by carrying the largest pepple it could. The king was very pleased with the spider In the same way you should be happy if someone cut off read meat. Regards Asvin
A lot of people ask me if I eat fish; a lot more seems surprised when I say that I *obviously* don't eat them. It's odd when somebody calls him/herself "vegetarian" and eats fish, but I think that they aren't aware of the "pescetarian"'s category. In my ignorance, it's the first time I hear of it, and it makes sense. OT: By the way, this forum amaze me every day more.
I'm a pescetarian. but to people who are NOT vegetarian I refer to myself as a vegetarian just because I don't care to answer the question of "Wtf is pescetarian?" It just makes life a little easier. However, I'm young, and I'm transitioning into becoming a full vegetarian.
If we cut ourselves we bleed red. Omnivores bleed red aswell. If I met you in the streed I would probably not know that you are "pescatarian". We're humans by physical form! So be proud of being a human!!!!! Eating is an incredibly social thing, and if you are not eating the same as everybody else you can bet on that some questions will arise. Sometimes you can answer politely and other times simply bite back since you have to protect yourself... I'm confident that you'll know when say what. My favourite is someting like either people don't have the brain power to understand that people are different and their mentalities are different or they simply don't understand how to cook a proper vegetarian meal. Offencive? Yes! But it does sink in. One last mind buggle. If you say you are transitioning into a full vegetarian then please don't deceive yourself. In a company, the path of small steps is seen as manipulative and sudden changes are most of the times seen as a better alternative. I don't see it should be different from an individual point of view. Do make up your mind in this issue and be curageous! I made up my mind from one day to another (omni -> veg) 8 years ago and I haven't regretted it for a second, though my motivations may be much much different from yours. Much Love Asvin
People can eat however they want, you're right..but they shouldn't walk around calling themselves something they're not. I'm a vegetarian- my diet border lines Vegan most of the time.. but because I have respect for the Vegan diet I will not go around saying " yes I'm vegan.. but I had some cheese the other night"
if someone passes out from not eating meat for a week then their diet must not be very balanced. Anything your body needs can be gotten from a well-planned vegan diet.
yes, pescetarian is the right term for you. try searching the difference of vegetarian and pescetarian on the net and you will know. I hope that helps.
Why do people get so angry at people who don't eat dairy, land animals, etc but do eat Fish. I feel this is a good decision because what really bothers me is Factory Farming as an Industry, and you can eat wild caught fish every once in a while and that is not supporting an evil industry.
....I just entered this thread with the intention to say that and dip the fuck out... So now I'll get on to the second part of my plan.
