Some years ago i tryed to grow dreadlocks, and it ended up with me cutting them nasty waxed locks after 1 year. I added a bad quality picture i found of my old waxy ones to. Now i try again, only no wax used this time. Twist and ripped the back of my head 3 weeks ago, and trying my best not to mess with it and just let them do what they do best. So far they have only been falling apart. Been washing every 2-3 days mostly with water, but have also used dr.bronners a few times.
it looks like you have really silky hair like me, plus it's short which makes it easier for them to loosen. it will take lots of time.
Yes, my hair is really soft and silky I have lots of time How long you had yours and what method you used?
Hey, i'm in the same boat as you. Had dreads (but not for long) got rid of them now i'm like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT DID I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, so second round, wiser this time. My hair is pretty short and the baby dreads stick out everywhere. My hair is really soft and silky, so I neglected it for a couple weeks or so after backcombing a bit then backcombed again and they're more sectioned now... It's going to take a really long time but i'm more patient and up for the adventure now. Goodluck with your dreads! The beginning stage is messsssyy but fun
Cool. Do you have a picture of them? Thanks alot. Getting much better at just leaving them alone now Wish you good luck with your's to!
Hmm, some of my "dreads" won't fall out. Did i twist and rip them to tight? Some of them have loosened up, but still some is just staying as tight as it was the first day i did them.
Is it? Its good in the way that it looks more like dreads, but i want it to be dreads and not just look like it. I read here that it will fall out and lock up again many times before they are dreads, so i guess the ones that are really tight will use longer time to lock up then the ones that has been falling out allready? I like the ones that fell out allready so much more then the tight ones <3
The point of informing people that their newly backcombed or T&R-ed 'babies' are gonna fall out is that they will do often do stuff that doesn't seem to make sense (like fall out) before they actually become locks. In your case only some have fallen out, or only some have fallen out so far. It's whatevers man... let 'em do what they're gonna do, just keep the hairz clean and you should be fine.
Here some new pics at about 2 and a half month. The "dreads" look very much like in the first pics, but they have changed some. They gained more length, loosened up abit, and flattened. Wish you all a lovely day! :afro:
Thank's :sunny: I like them alot, and i find the process and seeing how they change all the time very interesting Your dread's look really nice What method you used?
