Catha edulis alkaloid extraction

    Hi,

    Was wondering if anyone could offer any information about extracting the cathine / cathinone alkaloids from the catha edulis plant. (Khat)

    From what I know, the extraction must be done soon after stripping the plant as the cathinone is broken down in as little as a few days. You can also freeze the leaves for up to about a month.
