They just fucking thought of that???????

My parents never let me go to Mcdonalds as a kid because they eat super healthy usually and they always said the toys were the biggest brainwashing scam for young kids.

And the proof is lying in the bellies of overweight children all over Mcdonalds inhabited places.

The best thing happening is that schools in the US are throwing fast food and sodas out, and bringing in healthy alternatives. Unfortunately several generations of children have been seduced by corporate america and are now fat unhealthy adults.

This is what happens with unbridled capitalism. If a corporation could, it would buy the rights to everything your child will consume the rest of its life, AT BIRTH!

Ok, now that I said that, they're going to do it...

    Just imagine...

You're bringing your newborn baby home, and it's wearing a North Face jacket, a Coca Cola bonnet, Nike booties, etc. And it only cost you a lifetime contract that everything your kid consumes must come from preselected companies (who will bombard this kid the rest of his life with endless advertising). Perhaps these companies, in exchange for the contract will pay for the birth... So they will literally "own" your kid...

This is weird, cause the more I think about it, the more I think it might happen...

I can see various companies forming alliances to package their products as exclusive vertical markets. So if you signup with say the APG, or American Product Group, you will commit yourself to only buying products from that group. Sorta like signing up with Amway, you get a lot of products made by different companies, perhaps all marketed under one label...

I'm sure there'll be huge incentives initially to signup, like huge discounts & freebies...

Again it's sorta like Frequent Flier Miles, you can only use them on certain affiliated airlines.

So instead of Multinational Megacorps, we transcend that with affiliate corporations. I believe this trend has already begun in certain industries.

That would mean one day there may only be a few or just a couple of Megaconglomerates that control 95% of everything produced and sold on the planet. Would that be a bad thing or a good thing and why?

a ranch is a kind of farm, its just a more specific kind. just like a square IS a rectangle, but a rectangle is not necessarily a square.

and heres a secret... you can make your own cookie cereals at home. just roll your dough about 1/8 inch thick, you can make pieces first or after they bake. i just break them apart. i made gingerbread cookie cereal, my 4 y/o loves it. if you wanted a chocolate chip cookie cereal youd probably have to grate some chocolate to get the pieces small enough. play around in the kitchen, save money and be healthier.

use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without. my gingerbread cereal came about because i still had a brick of dough in my fridge from last year, about half a batch of cookies worth.

how do people even afford cereal anymore? Its all like 5 dollars a box..thats ridiculous. I'm really poor, but even if I had money I dont think I could justify spending 5 dollars on a box of cereal.

I tried cookie crisp but didn't like it. That must have been 25 years ago. Maybe it's time for another go.

I realized recently that aerosol cheese is $4.00 a can. I still need it though:)

jesus. you can buy a block of imported cheese from france for practically the same price...thats crazy.

wheat thins are also 4 dollars a box. so cheese and wheat thins are an 8 dollar snack..what is this world coming to?

I always figured I would be at least 50 years old before i started bitching about prices and inflation...but i'm only 25 and its already driving me crazy. I don't even want to think about how its going to seem to me when i really am 50 lol.
