Can you believe it's that time of the year again? I'm talking about the big giant turkey, pumpkin pie, banana pudding, all the amazing candies, egg nog, and all that good stuff.. but the main question that is always asked is what are you most thankful for? I'm thankful for my wonderful husband and his amazing family who have welcomed me with opened arms, I'm thankful for my family who has put up with my crazy ways for years but not as crazy as my brother. So what is everyone thankful for???
Gobble til you Wabble its killing me that you spelled wobble with an 'a'...its right in the goddamn title and rhymes with gobble....why? why would you do that?....I am not happy:mickey:
The harvest season takes place earlier in Canada than it does in the USA. Thanksgiving is a celebration at the end of the harvest and therefore Canadians have it before the later harvest season to the south. c&p
sidenote: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving#Fixing_the_date_of_the_holiday excerpt: "Thanksgiving in the United States was observed on various different dates throughout history. By the mid 20th century, the final Thursday in November had become the customary day of Thanksgiving in most U.S. states. It was not until December 26, 1941 however that President Franklin D. Roosevelt, after pushing two years earlier to move the date earlier to give the country an economic boost, signed a bill into law, with congress, making Thanksgiving a national holiday and settling it to the fourth (but not final) Thursday in November." .
how is that possible? 4 out of 7 years there's only 4 thursdays in november... in fact, it's on november's final thursday this year.
lol Yes. A frozen wasteland, but surprisingly, we like it here. Yep, then I can get on with other things.
Sorry for my spelling lol and my husband DroopySnoopys birthday is the same day as the Harry Potter release I'm a fan he's not but I still want to see it
haha...i was just messing with you..... you are droops wife? and you are thankful for that?:mickey: isnt harry potter like 40 now?...he should be running that damn school by now. he could have gone through law school twice .../
Tell him Amanda said suck it up, it's not just his birthday, it's mine, too, and Harry Potter needs to be watched. Neeeeeeeds to be.
yeahhhhhhh that photo in the original post is not accurate. i still like the current idea of the holiday though. it's actually the only holiday i really celebrate.
I think that turkey anytime is a great thing so can I be part of the other Thanksgiving as well as ours? I mean the type on a plate not the ones that have to be dealt with in life. Pumpkin pie is heaven.
Thankful that I still have a few family members and friends/loved ones alive to celebrate with. Thankful I am still alive. It works outward from there, finally winding up at (of course!) oh so very thankful that turkey and many other delicious Thanksgiving foods are significant MAOI's!
