im not talking about people, im talking about earth and animals. i really dont plan on doing anything with my life at the moment, exept for being a rockstar :], but i want to do SOMETHING that would help the earth, so anybody know any good jobs for that? i dont plan to be rich or live in a house, i wanna live in a van and help to do something to make the world a better place. i believe that the world would be a better place if humans werent in it, so i feel kinda guilty. it doesnt mean im gonna kill every human including myself, though. i just want to live a happy, helping life and i dont really care if i get paid or not, i mean, hey! im making a difference! or at least trying. So any suggestions? :3
Educating people would probably be the best thing for the world. But your stance on humanity seems a little negative. Not all people are at fault for the situations the world faces, just a select few that are creating a truly negative impact on the planet.
political Lobbying for those mistreated. Teaching people. Leading citizen based groups towards betterment of a situation.
For now why not go out and purchase a hunting liscense? The funds go for land aquisition, habitat restoration and maintenance, non-game programs. Hunters are the world's premier conservationists.
When your helping the earth make sure you don't get preachy with people, that always turns people off. Not saying you would do that, just be careful not too.
Start by realizing that one not so famous person can only affect those you come in contact with. I'd say start learning about alternative power, primarily solar, get a job in that field, go to school and promote it vigorously. Start saving your money and buy a piece of land, that van will get old at some point, I lasted 5 years, but most only last until winter. If you're really serious, I can give you some suggestions on van life, (and death). send a pm. .
I once volunteered for a couple days at one of those places. Actually it was more like a wildlife rehab center. Feeding the animals was kinda cool, but the employees there were cool to animals but complete assholes to all people. They were VERY anti human and hated everybody it seemed. I couldn't deal with working with people like that so I quit. But if you can put up with that crap and you're passionate for animals, go for it.
It may be confusing, you may not understand. But if you can convince everyone you know to shit outside.. It should help. Fertilize the earth.
It's also good for population control, and the ones who survive the illnesses will be a stronger breed of humans. .
^ right on jack, lol. that e. coli will get you. I understand where you are coming from with humans. Without human interference, all animals flow in a certain harmony. However, we are here. The biggest problem facing the human race now is most of us are completely unprepared for a lifestyle that is completely harmonious with the earth. You could live by example and choose a sustainable lifestyle and then teach other people your skills. For example, there is a yurt community located somewhere near Pisgah National Forest, a few miles north from where I live, that gives seminars every weekend on how to build yurts, which is highly sustainable housing. If you could find some kind of sustainable living and teach seminars like that, it would spread your ideas of living without coming off as preachy. There are plenty of jobs you could get working with animals, but if you find humans to be such a probem you should at first live by example and choose a lifestyle that lives as harmoniously as possible with nature. i agree with the hunting license. not only do the proceeds go towards conservation efforts, but you would be helping out the inhumane practices of slaugherhouses if you hunted your own meat. you may not be in a position to do this or have the stomach for it, but I think hunting one's own meat is far more humane than buying meat that came from a farm hundreds of miles away and raised in unknown and probably cruel conditions. be sure to educate yourself on local animal populations.
More animals are killed via roadkill than hunting anyway. The only reason I quit that volunteer work at the injured wildlife rehab non-profit organization is because my supervisors were so anti-people they started treating me like shit. They'd be so nice talking to the ravens and teaching the ravens and crows how to talk and repeat phrases (yes they can do that, like parrots). And turn the other way and be more condescending than Rachel Maddow or Olberman or O'rielly. I decided then I wasn't that passionate for the position. Plus the commute was 75 miles round trip.
Oh right, I didn't mention imma vegeterian ^^ and don't worry people I didn't mean to sound so negative on my way of thinking about humans, I'm nice to everything or at least try to c:
people are animals, and the earth is our home, all of us be kind, be patient, keep your eyes open the rest will follow
