Well after heavy usage the withdrawls can be hell. Methaonde withdrawls are near as bad as heroin withdrawls. This is why methaonde is generally considered safe though, it can basically replace heroin, not to beat opiate addiction, but to transfer the addiction to a drug that is generally safe for long term use. Anyone who didn't go crazy through withdrawls unless they were manged would be superhuman. Of all the people you've met who have ever done ketamine though how many were heavy users? And steroids can be pretty bad in heavy doses, but most people doing steroids they're not the ridiculously jacked people you see in documentaries. Steroids are extremely common prescribed drug, and even people using them for muscle development generally don't overdo it since they're not looking to have biceps the size of elephants normally. Either way the main concern with steroids is liver damage, which is an issue with oral steroids. People seriously abusing steroids are generally shooting them, while oral steroids are more likely to be controlled medicated doses. So it does reduce risk quite a lot. Complete lack of motivation generally. The problem with weed burnouts is the fact weed burnout is almost socially acceptable too, someone might call someone out on being a burnout, but they won't take it seriously. Call someone a burnout who's taking a harder drug they're probably going to feel horribly depressed about it.
1/2 I don't agree with this. Where I'm from, alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine are definitely the only widely socially acceptable drugs.
General public though, there's a very large sub culture of potheads, especially if you're young between 16-25. If you're a pothead, and most of your friends are potheads, and you spend most of your freetime smoking pot, this becomes the norm. Especially when it's large enough to be catered to socially(headshops, movies, ect)
its not ghey... its employers watching their ass for irresponsible drug users... a lawsuit because someone was fucked up and now the company owes 10's or 100's of thousands of dollars to the plaintiff... that business is done for.. they are just watching out for themselves.. and rightfully so..
Just because someone tests positive for a drug, that doesn't mean they're using that drug irresponsibly.
nope.. but you know the saying.. one bad apple ruins the whole bunch life is not fair.. get used to it
I disagree. It is irresponsible to to put yourself in a positions in which you can lose your job over a drug test, and continue to use drugs. That is harmful drug use. It can negatively affect you, your family, your friends, and your landlord.
Exactly! There were hardly any drugs in my home slum before I was born but the family and social disfunction caused by alcohol was legendary.
I kind of actually disagree. For most drugs, most of the negative effects of moderate use are social (stigmas and criminal penalties). You avoid almost all of that with moderate occasional drinking.
My old suburb, exactly 1 mile X 1/2 mile with 35,000 squeezed into its single storey slums, had around 25 times the national average for murders. The amount of crime was astronomical - and all due to alcohol, almost exclusively supposedly harmless beer!
Valid point IMO... if one is considered a proponent of responsible drug use then one must know when not to use. It's a tough sell with something like pot which can remain in the system for quite a while after being used. from the (false) premise that marijuana laws are mainly about public health then it is beyond insane that alcohol is legal and weed isn't. A shame we have to pattern some behavior after politics and not logic.
