My friend has one and he gave me the explanation that the guy at the headshop told him... I have no idea how it works or what it does, it literally confused the fuck out of me lol
it's trippy! nah but it's just more filtration is a different way. they are harder to clean, just buy a regular bong and more herb! an ice catcher is sufficient...
they filter and cool the smoke again...its sweet! im either getting a purp bong (which has a perc) or a tsunami. anybody got advice on which one you think is better?
a friend of mine has a purp bong. Its about 16'' high. It hits really well and is has good glass. Purps seem to be pretty good. I dont know about tsunami bongs though.........
you guys are so silly, "what is a perc" there are many kinds of percs, you will need to be more specific. I dig dome percs on account of their ease of manufacture. the top of the bong's base is necked down and fitted with a skinny tube, another tube is fused over it to form the dome, either holes are then blown out or slits were cut ahead of time on a diamond saw. The outer tube of the bong is then fused down over the dome. the water goes around the base of the dome covering the holes. the smoke goes up the center tube and down the dome bubbling out of the holes. a bong with 2 percs or more requires a standard taper joint to be fitted to allow ease of down stem removal for balancing water levels in the percs. Percs are over rated, they cause excess drag and very little extra cooling is achieved. ice pinches are also over rated. what you really need is a two part rig with a glycerin chiller.
i kinda think percs are over rated too. but my bong only has a dome perc. i've only hit a bong with a tree perc a couple of times. those are supposed to give better filtration and therefore actually cool the smoke more. and a dome is more likely to introduce drag. mine doesn't. i feel like glass on glass is a must though. easier to clean usually, and a MUCH better seal. when i switched from a glass bong with rubber gasket to glass on glass, i realized how much the rubber doesn't actually make an air tight seal.
