The only people who dump chemicals everywhere are the cartel-Most of the good guerilla growers don't bother with "fields" of it-Thats how you get ripped or busted.

Growing Grass out in the woods is like a spiritual thing almost, its a good way to commune with nature-And if we leave our gardens in better or the same condition when we leave(sustainable farming) then nobody has anything to worry about. don't have to kill any animals or hurt anything-just be smart and hide you're grow right.

Only people who get ripped or busted usually are the dumbass's who are hurting nature......now going on to someones property is asking to get shot-thats dumb shit, but hey whatever man everyone has their show.

Don't sweat it...obviously you have truly experienced Humboldt, whereas the kids have not.

Humboldt County is gorgeous, but it takes a very certain kind of person to understand the (sub)culture there.

The Humboldt County movie does not really show what life in Humboldt county is really like for the average person.

I've lived here for 8 years and the scenery is beautiful and people are nice and not everyone is a stoner... and things do get done. So there. People graduate from the university, they get good jobs, lots of people here are very educated about Botany and Herbal Medicine and run their own businesses... so it's not like we are all just stoners laying around on the street smoking pot.

Marijuana is one aspect of this area and everyone seems to ignore everything else.

I just visited humbolt a few weeks ago and it was amazingly beautiful. Everyone was nice, friendly, and respectful. Of course there were stoners there but isn't there everywhere, but that doesn't mean nothing got done because alot of the people were very smart.

And to you zillagod don't even try to defend yourself about stealing, it IS wrong period, breaking the law by growing weed is also wrong but when you stole or smoked weed is that not breaking the law as well??

?? Some growers go organic and don't waste time killing animals or people with traps.

They're not all a bunch of money-hungry folks destroying the earth through growing. If anything a lot of growers actually HELP the environment, either directly or through giving of money to charities.

Sure there are some assholes in the game, but I couldn't use that as an excuse to rip plants. Too heavy of an activity for me. I'd rather spend the time learning how to do it myself, if I were really that interested in herb...

I want to move up there after beauty school. Do hair dressers make good money in Humboldt?? Does anyone know?

 

There are a lot of hair salons and they are expensive to go to... so hairdressers must make at least some money. But the cost of living is very high here as well.

 

i was born in humbolt county now i live a few hours away. humbolt is humblot, yeah most peoples professions there is growing pot or what not but its like any other amazing place you would go to

I live in Florida right now but will be moving west after my wife is gone. That iis gonna be a hard time for me but I have had two years to prepare and am still able to watch her wake up every day. When the time comes, I hope to find somewhere to have a home base during growing season, for a small garden, where I can travel to festivals and such places to make a little money to make ends meet. Can a person find a relativly cheap place to buy and find a trailer to live in on it? I have a very run down house here but am in to bad shape to get much updating done and no help in sight so I won't get a lot when it sells.
