So i'm prescribed Adderall and because it's a controlled substance the doc has to rewrite my prescription every month. In natural ADD fashion, I lost my prescription and had to get another one from the doc. I just found that one I had lost today - apparently I used it as bookmark. I like to keep a little extra on hand month, but can I actually fill the prescription at another pharmacy where my insurance is not on file? I can't see how they would know?
They wouldn't know. If you have two valid scripts its even legal. There might be a way for someone to trace the dispensement records using the dea# but I doubt anyone would. If you did this often there would be a better chance that you'd get caught, but it would be your doctor who would get in trouble. You'd just be hard pressed to ever get that script again.
