Who's in a kick ass punk band?

an i aint mean none of that good charolotte shit. i mean real punk like the melvins or the cure. so who is? im in a real kick ass punk rock mood n i'd like to here something different. something that hasn't been being played for 20 some odd years. if your band rocks, let me hear!

 

There hasn't been a kickass punk band since the early 90s.

 

just not that you know of. i'm sure there's a ton of underground bands out there waiting to be found

There's quite a few punk bands here, but they're fucking obsessed with sounding like this new Green Day and Good Charlotte shit. 3 different power chords, over and over and over and over and over and over.... they aren't even that talented.... hell, I could be in one right now, but I'd rather make no music than really bad music.

 

You are 17, you cannot be good. I'm a Spanish rock band... something much more respectable than the crap today's punk rock is.

 

My friend is in a great punk band, kind of the sex pistols meets radiohead (even though they're not punk). They sound great and have being playing local venues for years.

 

I don't know of anyone here that's in a kick ass punk band but i have a few friends that are in pretty kick ass punk bands...none of that good charlotte shiznit...but i wouldn't mind if they sounded like green day, because even if green day are "sell outs" i still think theyre pretty fuckin rad, but my friends kick ass punk band sounds more like ramones

 

Lol, there's this freshman in my gym class who's in a punk band called NRK. Yeah anyways... Punk sucks.
