Folks, the San Francisco Giants are World Champions.
(I've been waiting since I was eight years old to say that.)

:2thumbsup:, Even tho I'm a Texan, Cona rats Ace, so happy your dream came true. 50 odd yrs is a long time to wait for anything. You are fortunate to have been able to watch it and feel the glow.

Now that your life long dream has come true, what now? What is it you long for. I mean what happens when you get what you want after a lifetime of wanting it. Where do you go from here?!?

It's not like this was the only longing of my heart. As a matter of fact, it was some time back that I came to a place of accepting this being something I'd never see in my lifetime. So I'm more surprised and amazed (and, of course, delighted) really. Not like "oh, wow; what is my quest now?"

To be fair, I guess I have to say I'm in a season of life these days that's more about looking for contentment, joy and wonder in the "little" stuff that shows up on a day to day basis than striving towards any Grand and Mighty Goals. Not that I quarrel with Big Ambition folks; not that I disagree with any of those noble ideals. I'm just in a space now where savoring each day and taking nothing for granted makes sense for me.

Oh, the Giants bringing a Championship back to San Fran certainly completes a lifetime of dedicated following of the sport and the team, and fills a special spot in my heart. It's deeply satisfying. But it's like an unexpected side-bonus. I'm just grateful for the moment.

Did I explain this in a way that made sense.

    Hi Dog.
I realize that there is more to life then sports :) I was being fescious, as in playing with you. See the twinkle in my eye.

I am not a big sports enthusist but I do have my favs. I am happy that you did get to see your team take it after waiting so long for it. I know it's thrilling and satisfing and you have a smile on your face bc of it, so, it's all good my brother

Cakes, I just enjoyed the opportunity to try to verbalize what's been bouncing around inside my chest and stomach. Thanks!

As the night shade lifts and the candle glows dim,
I ponder the things I have learned and will hesitently do again.

If in times I feel confused and not doing my best,
I take a moment to reserve myself and give it a little rest.

Time seems to take care of itself in it's own way
It's not what we can to tomorrow it's what we can do today.

When the future hold no meaning and all has gone astray
Take what you need from yesterday and use it as you may.

Hold what you know is real to you and let the rest go
It's what's your heart that counts and you reap what you sow

The world is full of promise and the doors are open wide
There is no place to run from life no place that you can hide.

Greet the day with wonder and do your very best
Grab all the life you can and grab it up with zest

I remember Ranger well. I believe he once gave a cop a vicks cough drop, as the cop had a cold. Is that correct? You look just the same these days.

Ah yes I remember it well; but they wern't "Vicks" they were "Laceral" cough drops with a little special flavoring LOL! I also remember that that batch was the finest "flavoring" I had (have) ever done; & I've done a lot! Sooo smoooth! The only part of it that could possibly have hurt the guy was... REALITY!!! MUHAAHAA!

    Much love
