My best friend goes all the time with her gay friends. I went for the first time and I have to say, I don't know if this would work because if a guy started hitting on me there I'd assume he was at least bi. Which I know is acceptable, but my personal preference is just guys into girls. I don't want to worry about my boyfriend cheating on me with another woman AND another man. (Not that you worry in a good relationship, haha)
It does work, my brother had a friend that pretended to be gay 24/7 to get chicks. The thing is, the guy doesn't hit on them; they let the women come to them. They just be friends until the chick comes onto the guy, at which point, he decides to 'try it'

i completely agree, it isn't any different. i just don't see why anyone homo or hetero has to flaunt their sexuality like a boyscout badge. i'm simply saying to keep it to yourself. but it was my first time being around prideful homosexuals, the only homosexual people i knew, besides a lot of lesbians, were not as flamboyantly over the edge gay. so it was a little uncomfortable.
Back in the early '80s, I had this girlfriend who loved going to the drag shows. She had a good friend who was gay, quite wealthy, and had lots of coke. I was a bit uncomfortable at first, but the coke certainly helped. It didn't take folks long to know that I was straight and had a girlfriend. "BUT I'M A REAL GIRL!!" HaHa.
I'm all for people being passionate about anything. Real passion is such a rare thing to find in a person these days. Many people are just so watered down or so indifferent to the world that they come across as though they're just floating along. Like the demeanor of that guy Toby from the show 'The Office'. When someone is excited about something or has passion for something it's nice to see because it's so rare and unusual these days, no matter what it is they're passionate about. Protestors who are passionate about a cause. It's nice to see because many people don't care enough to spend their free time rallying for things they really care about. Many people are more content to just sit back and complain. Artists who are passionate about their work. It can bring emotions into the lives of others; made happy by a certain painting, sad by a certain story. Homosexuality is different in that for people who aren't homosexual, their definition of what a homosexual is largely comes from the media. Ask what a homosexual is like to most folks and they're likely to state the behaviour of some gay tv personality. People on tv have to act a certain way in order to make people interested enough to watch them. Look at how loud and obnoxious Oprah can be on her show. Do you really think she talks like that in real life? I doubt most homosexual tv personalities are as flamboyant in real life. Many young homosexuals though may be confused about a lot of things. "What exactly is a homosexual?" "Am I really a homosexual?" "Who should I hang out with?" "Who should I tell?" etc. This can leave some younger homosexuals to emulate the homosexuals they see in the media. Loud, over the top, "flaming". etc. because they're unsure of so many things surrounding their orientation. One has to remember that homosexuality is still largely not talked about in schools, on television, etc. It doesn't get a lot of exposure. And so there can be a lot of grey area for people who discover that they're gay. They might not have a place to go to get answers for the new questions they have. Thus they may emulate what they see in the media because they think that's what being gay is.
Haha just cause you wear hemp jewelry doesnt mean that you smoke! By best friend, Anna, uses hemp to make jewelry and has never smoked a day in her life.
Yes, people really should be more concerned with the way others view them... How dare someone act like who they are without first contacting everyone else on the planet to make sure its okay with them... What clods, what totally inconsiderate assholes to actually think they have the right to act and dress in a manner they feel comfortable with... What were they thinking...
