A San Francisco medical cannabis collective is offering free joints every time a San Francisco Giant hits a home run in the world series. You need only be present in the shop at the time the home run is hit to earn the free joint. They say they are offering a special on orange buds and a special THC drink called "Giant Punch" during the series. FYI, the Giants won the first game in SF by a score of 11 to 7. Judging from the poor play of the Texas I'd say they hadn't built up enough resistance to the strong Northern California cannabis and so were acting far more stoned than the SF players who've had much more time to build up tolerance to the excellent smoke that prevails in the area. I swear at least a few of the Texas players were stoned out of their minds on the field. I watched them miss easy plays then slowly reach for the ball as if they weren't sure what they were doing. It's so obvious they were enjoying being high as much as being in the World Series! http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/news/offbeat/102810-pot-shop-offers-free-joints-ncx
Here they are saying that California is poised to legalize and corner the market on weed...and that prices will plummet all over North America ....
Don't hold your breath that prices will come down. At first prices might escalate a bit due to the immediate increase in demand, with few legal outlets available. So black market cannabis will soar in price. Fortunately tempering the price rise, is the fact that it's harvest season and there will be a record amount of pot available for sale this year as it was a good year, although the season was cut short due to recent rains. Don't buy MOLDY POT! Get yours from a reliable source who checks it out first. After the initial increase in price, a few months later, the prices should drop once the large scale grows come on line and more people grow their own (you'll be allowed a 25 sq ft grow area - per person I think). Eventually I predict prices the following year might be half what it was before legalization in California. Remember that it will still be more expensive outside the state due to "shipping" costs. Premium strains will still demand premium prices, but not as much as before. The $400 ounce should become history... Also for those buying recreational cannabis, there will be a $50 tax per ounce which will keep the price inflated indefinitely. Medical mj should not be taxed under Prop 19, but it's unclear.
Some the commercial peps I know had seen a shortage last couple weeks, they are not really up on Cannabis growing, or the understanding of it.. but I told them its always been like that when its harvest time. you will either see a flood of shit brick weed before it or you will see no weed at all. When the buds start to flow again its usually mids, anyone smoking ditch weed for Thanksgiving needs a cannabis education ..or a slap with a frozen turkey upside the head..
Ah commercial shortage eh? Wonder what that could be due to? Wouldn't have anything to do with the HUGE BUSTS in Tijuana two weeks ago. I hear they are still uncovering more caches of marijuana around the city. It started at 105 tons, but it's much more now. That much pot busted so close to the border, all ready to go in tractor trailers means that somebody is coming up short these days! DON'T OUTSOURCE YOUR CANNABIS! STOP SMOKING IMPORTED SHIT FROM MEXICO! BUY USA GROWN POT! Support our economy and help Mexico battle its drug gangs!
there was a shortage before that bust.. These people wouldnt care cause they use marijauna for entertainment only. If thats not available they can crossover to other drugs or alcohol.. This is truly sad, they would rather go though the hardship, smoke dirt, buy funk(k2) from the gas station than grow their own. Whats even more sad is they will sell pot but are afraid to grow it for themselves.. knowing the laws here, possession and growing are no different really.. http://norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4560
Giants pitcher Tim Linceum is a two time Cy Young Award winner and a stoner. I want what he's smoking! Perhaps Rangers were smoking indica and the Giants were smoking sativas.
Ah what a great strategy being employed in SF! The dispensaries sell the Rangers heavy indicas cause they know they'll be spaced out on the field, while the Giants know the best high while on the field is sativa!
