That's my style... I'm not limited to a style, but even my folk stuff has blues overtones in it, I am told. But I'm not in eastern TN, either... :p I really haven't updated my site in a while, and I'm in the middle of a genre change. I go through phases sometimes.

Where in easter Tenn do you live? If your close you might want to check out this little place in Johnson City called the Down Home. You can find almost anything there. Lots of blues, rock, folk, bluegrass. Its a great little venue.

Also, every september, there is a local music fest in Bristol. Its called Rythme and Roots. Theyve got alot of good artists that come every year. I live in Bristol so i go pretty much every year. Its a great little fest with some pretty big acts. And if your willing to drive, there is a place in Damascus, Virginia about an hour or so from bristol called the Old Mill I believe. Theyve got alot of the same types of music.

Depending on where you are at in eastern Tenn - you may not be far from Asheville, NC. They have great music there all the time, most often at this place called the Orange Peel.

Hes right. Asheville is one of the coolest places i know of. ive been to the orange peel about 4 times now and 2 of the shows i saw there are tied as my my favorite show of all time. IMO the orage peel is the greatest venue ever. They have all kinds of music, and i mean all kinds. Its a great little place.
