my naturals timeline so far...

Well ive been lurking these forums for a while now and finally decided to post .So i stopped combing about a year ago-ish. I know they should probably a little more mature by now but I have to wear a hard hat every day for work so im sure thats been slowing them down. I've never had dreads before so this is an adventure of patience for me . No real maintenance other than washing with natural bar soap. They are starting to come along nicely, im loving the swirls and loops all over! Well enjoy, I sure am!

very nice looking. They would probably have been larger and more eccentric if you had not been wearing a hardhat, but they sectioned quite well I think.

I'm not the OP so I'm not going to speak for him. But I will tell you that the generally accepted meaning of the word 'natural' in terms of locks is that you don't really do anything to your hair except wash it. The hairz do the rest. Some people 'get dreads' other people grow them. Growers are awesome

thanks everyone Monkey, i just wash my hair every few days and havent touched a comb ever. My hairs are all just getting together to party! lol :crowngrin:

that's amazing my hairs short so I started backcombing... but now i'm just leaving them alone. I started them mid september. Time to let them go wild and crazy,.

 

yeah im definately glad i have some patience and didnt just get "insta-dreads"
