I was wondering what y'all think of him, his ideas, his show, etc. I like most of his ideas and the image he portrays, but sometimes I get the feeling it is exactly that.

The man was a wrestler, he knows how to entertain and how to present an image. Sometimes I get the feeling that he's putting on a show based on his demeanor, body language, etc. Big loud tough guy getting in the face of coward politicians to become the hero who exposes them.

I think he may really care about the issues he talks about, but it seems sometimes that he's doing it because he knows there's a market there.

I like him, though I'm not really sure how genuine it all is. Also, I figure that if he really was talking about things he shouldn't be talking about and stepping on the governments toes, he wouldn't have a tv show.

What are your thoughts on him?

I love his show. I am glad he's informing the public. I send my utmost blessing to his soul for the government do not appreciate some of the things he says and the things he lets the people he interviews say.

My background: I know a lot about the secret societies; their plans and their history. They date back many generations and are bloodline run. I know what they try to do and it's good that people are willing to listen to theories on them.

I watched his show conspiracy theory, it felt kind of dumbed down to me. Keeping it simple and entertaining for the masses. He talks about goverment coersion and terrorism, yet he was for the health bill. If he beleived all of this new world order stuff you'd think he would be for less goverment control.

The best way to control your opposition is to be it. That way you can direct the people where you want them to go.

    This;
Currently, Ventura and his wife live in Mexico, "There are no newspapers down where I live. Where I live, I'm an hour from pavement and an hour from electricity..I'm completely off the grid."
in my mind lends a bit of credibility to his political views. I saw an interview with him a few years ago and he said he and his wife got sick of all the BS in the states bought land in Baja and live there most of the year, completely off the grid, no electricity, no phones, pump your own well water, etc.

So for what it's worth, I believe he truly feels passionately about the topics he covers, political and conspiratorial, but he also understands the need for a little theatrics in order to get peoples attention.

Why does being dramatic invalidate a person's genuinity?

I heard that as well, that's pretty cool.

People from news channels always ask him if he'll run in the presidential election of 2012.

I wonder how that would go.

No one will be allowed to attain the presidency unless their corruptable. If not they wind up like Kennedy.

Why do we get new members to HF who think that their snarky little smart-assed comments will win people over?

I swear this person sounds a lot like Sadist, anybody else get that impression?

Oh, Welcome to Hip Forums Telepath.:)

Agreed. Voting is useless anyway because both candidates for President/Vice/whatever are selected by the human powers that be. Even so when you think you have the choice of getting the lesser of the evils into office, you do't because it's pre-planned by the human powers that be.

I'm really beginning to dislike Jesse Ventura. I think he is a complete ass-clown who does not really believe half the shit he says but uses peoples well deserved distrust of the government to enrich himself. Which is fine and there's no law against that of course.

But someone should have told him that he does not have to actually pretend that he buys into the crap his made up persona spreads on that show. Maybe show him old episodes of In Search Of or Unsolved Mysteries. I do not remember Leonard Nimoy ever practically challenging a news interviewer to a knife fight.

He is and always has been a performer and entertainer.

I don't view him any differently now.

A show man trying to perform in a different ring.

Which is absolutely fine if you're a street performer or random street lunatic trying to make a few dollars in spare change at the top of the DC Metro escalator or running for political office in Minnesota.:)
