So yea nothing new going on, private prisons continuing to destroy America. Americans furiously masturbate to the thought.

In The State of New York, north of Albany, a huge section of the economy is corrections.

Criminals from "downstate" are shipped north; (4hrs by car) to facilities in the far north. Corrections are a rough job with high incidence of alcholism, marriage failure and credit abuse.

But it supports the economy in "gods country" .... rough bargain.

Somehow I'm not surprised to see how industry can influence politics and how quickly capitalists jump on making money off human misery. This is the future of society here in the USA ?

I didnt want to open this thread.. cause I figured it was another human cattle thing..
I have to say that the :Intimidation Whistle across the river is meaningless now. The whistle was on the state correctional of Pittsburgh. After 40million in renovations, its been retired. But they still use the whistle..
I had a saying before it was to let you know the inmates are safe, the officers are all accounted for, nite nite..:afro:
now I say, Thats a reminder how unemployed everyone is now..

Seems like a worthy thread for this.. Past week in Correctional history..

On Oct. 25, 1989, inmates overpowered guards in Camp Hill prison, launching a violent two-day riot. Since then, many improvements have been made to state prisons to keep it from happening again.
