contracts, temp agencies and causalisation on our lives. Attempting
to form a collective analysis on how and why this change in the
world of work has occurred.

Screening: P2P Fightinsharing "Precarity" DVD
Struggles in Korea, Barcelona, Paris
Actions in Milan & Madrid
Followed by experiences of resistance against dole, temp and work
regimes,
from the anti-JSA campaigns to the Liverpool Dockers

3> Flex - workers Fight Back

Final Session will discuss various ideas on creating direct action
strategies with maximum social impact, ways of communicating, what
can be done, what can be achieved and how we gonna do it. Looking
towards the Euromayday 2005 as well as connecting with migrant
struggles during the 2nd European day of action against detention
centres and borders.

* DEFINITION OF PRECARITY; Derived from the latin verb precor,
literally means being forced to beg and pray to keep one's job.
Precarity is the social state of work and being in the age of high
neo-liberalism.

We hope to see as many people as possible at this joint event. There will be music, stalls, raffles, plus Vietnamese food. Entry is free, and the event will run from 8-11pm.

Venue? The Harp Rock Bar, 97-99 Parsons Mead, West Croydon (nearest station West Croydon)

 

Unfortunately it all clashes with the hipforums gathering ...

But for those of you who don't fancy sleeping in a field in mid-december its gonna be a good day out for all who attend.

Antifa, AF, CW and Wombles Event Cancelled - Police Harrassment
Unfortunately due to police harrassment of the venue, this event, a Xmas party, has had to be cancelled.

 

Oh shit ... I knew that the Chalk Farm Road eviction came early but this is even more bad news

 

Only the evening event has been stopped.

 

So what happened? It hasn't been posted to the wombles site or list yet

Ah right ... Are you sure this dude isn't getting mixed up with the party at 51 chalk farm road? that was supposed to happen last night but got cancelled because the eviction came a day early.

I guess more will be revealed in time

 

No, there was an open house thing, and still will be ,at the Precarity event, but there was also an Xmas party in West Croydon for the more militant(alcoholic?) types in the Wombles, Class war etc etc.

Thats the one the plod have put the boot into the owners of the venue over.
