That was the wrong way to put it. Ron has a way of saying something radical (he wants an accounting of the gold in Fort Knox) and making a big issue of it-but then not following thru.

US Senators have a huge amount of power in the Senate. He could push thru a Fort Knox accounting if he really wanted to-who in the Senate would stand in his way. It would be very easy for him to push this issue in The Senate-but it works much better as a talking point and a fundraising point.

 

Ron Paul went ahead and did that to himself. Don't get me wrong, I really like about half of what Ron Paul says but maybe its just that I'm to far to the left to understand how getting rid of the department of education, department of health, social security, welfare etc, etc would help any damn body but the congressmans rich republican friends.

 

They're all suits and ties.
