stupidly i used larger mason jars for the naptha part of extraction...... is there a chemical i can use to disollve the left overs and recrystalize the leftover dmt? also i have had many colors of dmt from diff methods of exctraction i am wondering why that is even though all the same ingrediants just diff methods and also same qaulity on each color/sample? ANY THOUGHTS?
i am not sure if i understand the questions. The first part references larger jars and asks about dissolving the leftover DMT. Okay, if you mean you did the freezer precipitation, filtered and dried and realized there were still bits of DMT caked onto the bottom/sides of the jar then you can: 1.) Use a knife to carefully scrape it clean. Do it several times to get every bit. 2.) Add a small amount of (does not need to be warmed) non polar solvent, such as naptha, acetone or heptane and swirl until the visible DMT is fully dissolved. Now pour it out onto a clean/dry Pyrex dish and evaporate under a fan in front of an open window with good general ventilation. If you used clean solvent (NEVER use Coleman's) the only residue should be DMT xtals. Regarding many colors - i do not have this completely figured out but it seems that the longer i take, if i warm the naptha TOO much, if i am at all sloppy, if i use a food-grade tek, etc. i get different colors and textures. Additional colors means less pure product, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Colorful spice is sometimes called jungle or full spectrum spice (not always) and it refers to the theory that additional plant alkaloids have crossed over in the extraction along with the DMT. Generally, i find doing a STB (straight to base) extraction all in one go (no doing a couple pulls then coming back after hours or days or whatever) with naptha warmed below 100 degrees F, rocking jars gently and doing two careful decantations results in very clean product. Anything that i don't like at this point is immediately recrystallized which yields an earily beautiful product of white and clear xtal shards (not big ones mind you).
Spicey i cant find ronsonal napthat at the walmarts near me i have 2 taht are 30-45 minutes one way i live in the woods lol anyways so i had to buy coleman camping fuel and i remember reading a thread about you saying it sucks.... anyways i will eb buying ronsonol again but have you ever used coleman and it takes way longer for naptha to float to top?
Please do NOT use Coleman's. It has an additive that aids in rust prevention that you do not want in your spice that would require 2-3 very aggressive recrstyallizations to have a chance of purging it from the yield. Hope you saved your receipt. Go into the paint section of Wal Mart or ACE Hardware or a similar store. If Ronsonol is not available, VM&P is also a good, popular brand. Good luck!
