Wikileaks which previously released the Afghan War Diaries, now has released another 400,000 secret pages on the Iraq War. Among the revelations, the US has been keeping track of civilian and military casualties in Iraq, despite claiming otherwise. The body count is also far more than the US previously stated. So in other words the US gov't has been lying to the world all these years. No surprise there.

You know a little while back here I watched a DVD documemtary on Mi Li. then I log onto yahoo and see that about those 5 accused of killing or finding ways to kill Afgan civilians. It looks to me like the same things are going on now as back then. The only thing that has changed since Vietnam is that they are more careful to sensor what is going on in Iraq and Afganistan......You know we were suppposdley very close at nabbing BinLaden one time and didnt go for it. One has to wonder why, if that oppertunity did really exist we didnt take it. All this would have been done and over with a long time ago.

my guess is because the american government didn't want it over and done with. The longer they have an excuse to keep a presence in the middle east, the better for them.

in response to the wikeleaks..holy shit. finding out about events such as this would have triggered a mass reaction during the Vietnam era. My guess is this is going to go completely unnoticed by the majority of the American people today.

Nearly half a million pages and nothing yet that hasn't been previously reported.

That should call for a round of apologies to the mainstream news media.
