Anybody read these books? I have a ton of the old ones. My favorite is the Moonshae Trilogy. And the Finder's Stone Trilogy.
I have only read a couple new books since the time passage occured when fourth edition was introduced. Before then, I read quite a few. @ Featherhead8 The Moonshae trilogy was one of the first, if not the first, trilogy written for the FR setting. It was based in the Moonshae Islands. Story: Prince uniting folk, druids, and dark evil powers trying to kill everybody. The Finder's Stone trilogy is a story about an artifact, ancient evil god returning, good lizard people (saurials), High Magic, etc. They are older books in the FR setting. The most famous books from the FR setting would be the umpteen million books written by RA Salvatore about the drow elf, Drizzt Do'Urden. There are also a number of good books written by Elaine Cunningham. She now writes for Paizo Publishing an just had a new book released if you are interested: Pathfinder Tales: Winter Witch Hope you find something that interests you.
I love forgotten realms. Read lots of it. Played lots of FR videogames. Even wrote some FF on it. Forgotten realms rocks.
R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt books were excellent. I also read the Finder's Bane series, some Elminster books, the Realms books, and others.
