I don't believe they can legally do that. That's denying you access to your money. Next time ask to speak with the bank president or head teller. They have the right to deny opening an account for you, but once you have an account, they must provide access. I guess if you came in naked they could argue that's a violation of public decency laws, but bare feet are not against the law so they have no grounds for discriminating.

You know, its amazing how much going out barefoot can do for a person. BTW I went to school barefoot today. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh pure bliss. Theres nothing like having your soles planted on the cool tile floor while your working.

As in you showed up barefoot? If so, that's fucking awesome. I would never have the nerve to do that in my school.... :(

The only time we could go barefoot in school was if we forgot our sneaks for gym class. It wouldn't get you out of class, they just figured making you play barefoot was a punishment. Playing barefoot had not been my first intention, but I "forgot" mine a lot once I found that out.

Same here. The only problem is that with me I was painfully shy all through my school years when it came to going barefoot. I ended up forgetting my sneakers once too, but no way could I have gone barefoot in front of my classmates, especially the girls.

When i was at school, a long time ago, barefeet were compulsory in gym class, as it was thought (correctly) to be good for the feet and legs.
My niece left school five years ago, and it was still the norm then.

Yesterday I went barefoot to the local cinema. Unfortunately I paid thirteen dollars to see the movie Jackass 3D. Of course at my age I think it is safe to say that I'm not part of that movie's target audience, so I guess I got what I had coming to me. The ticket agent asked me where my shoes were and I gave him my standard I have blisters line. Fortunately that put an end to that line of questioning. I will say I was quite comfortable viewing the movie in my bare feet.:)

Went to my neighborhood coffehouse today, a really hip place with people of all ages, from UC Santa Cruz students to church people. When I'm there I usually see people barefoot, although they are girls and young women. No guys as yet. I'm a guy, and not so terribly young. But I've been thinking I would really like to go there barefoot one of these days...

    Kia Ora Ni Hao!

Rode my bike to the store. I'm going to have to put tape on the pedals. Outstanding October weather. Hope it stays like this for awhile longer.

    Cheers!

Near 70 degrees today here in the Fort so I went to the post office and though there were quite a few folks inside no one even mentioned my bare feet I then went to pay on a bill at nursing home were my Grand father once stayed after his heat attack and panicked a little as the the person in billing wasn't around so they asked me to sit until she came. I did get some puzzled looks while sitting and waiting but no one said a word. I then spent the rest of this evening on campus in several buildings and again no comments but I could feel a few stares, you know the kind then when you attempt to make eye contact they look away. There you have it

Warm weather today around 18c with 21c tmr. I went to go and vote at our local gym, so I walked from the parking lot inside. I then went to the post office and went throughout the pharmacy. I then went into the bank.

I also went to pickup my kid from school when one schoolgirl asked me why I wasn't wearing shoes, and I said I don't want to. One of the parents agreed it was too warm for shoes.

Quite a chill in the air yesterday (about 9 degrees C), so went out with a lovely fleece jacket and a woolly hat, but kept the feet bare. It was sunny, and my feet soon warmed up on the pathways. Bumped into my neighbour's daughter who said 'it's nearly winter, you can't still be barefoot - you'll get frostbite'. I pointed out as long as temps were over freezing, I'd be okay !

I then spent all afternoon in my back garden, having a big tidy up and doing a bit of digging and raking. Feet were cold to start with but once I got going I didn't even notice, and they felt great. Absolutely filthy feet by the end of it !

Fortunately the weather here is unseasonably warm at the moment, so for the second time in two nights I strolled around the city barefoot. I'd say I put in over an hour of walking between the two nights. I also saw a young woman walking barefoot with three guys on Tuesday night. Unfortunately like myself she had her shoes tucked under her arm.:(

Well now that I feel way better, I went to the hospital for minor surgery Monday. Had to wear flips cause they get all uptight about needles on the floor, etc. Which is understandable. Anyhow, my toerings are a perfect fit and sorta snug. So I didn't have success getting them off. So off I went to the OR on a gurney barefoot sporting toe rings. Possibly a first, lol.

    HOLY CRAP!!!

I do most everything without shoes, but I rarely post under this thread. Today I had an experience worth reporting. I went to the grocery store, King Soopers (part of the Kroger chain). As usual, I was barefoot. A male employee came up to me and said "Sir, you need to wear shoes." I went through this last year and found out from Kroger's corporate office that they have no footwear requirement. I told this to the employee. He looked stunned and said, "I'll check and let you know." I was a a smart-ass and said, "No, I already know, you need to find out for yourself." Anyhow, I heard some overhead paging to the Service Counter and figured it was about the exchange. As I passed one aisle, the male employee called to me from the opposite end. As I walked toward him, he apologized for not knowing the policy:oops:!! I couldn't believe it! Yay team! :groupwave:
