That's my second favorite SNL skit! Belushi kills me! Sometimes I do that impression when I'm making sandwiches. The show wasn't any good after the end of the 90's in my opinion. I love this one, the quality of this vid is crummy though because the person just recorded their tv. He's actually a pretty good singer, he definately sounds like Joe Cocker. The windmill he does near the end is the best! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHaA4RePosY"]YouTube - John Belushi
Wow, I never realized that was him actually singing. Holy crap. The twitching thing is right on, too. I always get the heeby jeebies seeing Joe Cocker or Alanis Morrisette sing. And it seems like the days of decent sketch comedy are over. I'm pretty sure they hired a bunch of politicians as their writing staff. Not entertaining or amusing at all.
When the guy from the Keenan and Kel show was brought on I refused to ever watch it again. I'd rather stick my hand in a deep fryer.
I think the early 90s was the best cast too, but on the other hand I think the whole sketch comedy idea is beat at this point as far as on network tv..It is just too politically correct.. I don't think they would ever do material like this from 1989 even anymore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9rLyPbTjHU"]YouTube - Saturday Night Live Cowboy Skit "colored boys don't like to work"...no way that goes today.
I have not watched it in years. It lost it's edge. I think that to match the talent that came off of that show in the earlier years was almost impossible to do and it went downhill.
In my mind the major sketch comedy shows shall be ranked as follows. In Living Color Kids in the Hall Whitest kids you know All That (nickelodeon) madTV SNL
