So I have a somewhat cheap scale that is 500 x 0.1 and I am getting 100mg's of 2-CE. The scale weighs in carats and I am looking to dose around 20mg and .1 ct = 20mg so if I were to weigh out .1 carrats on the scale would I be safe? Or will the scale just totally not pick up that amount.
it's not the best way to do it. but if you are only getting 100 mg, and ARE SURE OF THE STARTING AMOUNT, doing it this way should be alright. just make sure you get 5 roughly equal looking ".1 carat" piles. i'm only saying this because it should be safe. it's not very precise though, so you could probably end up getting 25 mg and tripping harder than you bargained.
Get 10g than check it on your scale, if it's +/- 0.1g it's fine and than make a solution.. If not that, as porkstock told, you have to be sure in starting amount .
Yeah, if you're going by eye, somebody on here said the idea of put your clear glass over a graph paper. I also think that it's a lot easier to divide powders by eye, put them flat instead of in rails it will drive you insane trying to decide which rail is taller or wider or longer or what unless you got it flat.
I don't mean to steal the topic, its quite on topic, and yes, I am sure I can find the answer by searching, but its on topic and somebody who finds this post might also want to know, so I'll just ask here. Anybody have any personal recommendations for a scale for RCs (hopefully accurate to the 1 mg or less) for under say...$100? give or take? Sorry if this question has been beat to death (I'm sure it has).
