I'll write this in english. I've met up with a couple of cool people and we are trying to put together a commune. There is some really cheap land in Québec. (Québec is massive. 3 times the size of France.. way bigger than Texas) This would be a free spirited commune based on many of the ideologies of the 1960s If you're interested.. Male or Female... Couples and Families welcome too Contact me Michel.samuel@yahoo.fr
Do you need to a canadian citizen to live up there? If you do is hard to get for an american? Thank you !!!!
The great thing about Canada. 2 hours outside of any our major cities and you are in the middle of no place. If the person was "a good person" I like to think that if an absolute worst situation we could develop a work around so that immigration problems would not be too much of a problem.
mark......how cheap is the land...can you post an example ad?..here is one that I am looking at here..although not for a commune......for my own home heres one i am lookin at General Description Enjoy the peaceful feeling of this 192 acres with your own beautiful waterfalls and lots of wild life, great place for a retreat within minutes of Highway $. Hydro and phone close to lot line. On a year round maintained road. The property backs onto hundreds of acres of Crown Land. they want just under a hundred grand
You can always purchase a 100 metre square house in Murdochville for less than 5,000 LOL There is lots of land for prices under 20,000. But it does take time to look. (And that is not easy for any of us because we are ecolos without cars) An example of our problem is we found land of 20 acres for 2,000 but it was a 15 km walk to a dirt road and there was lots of rules about the trees. We have done some research and the biggest problems appears to be sources of water. There is lots of sources but there is also lots of rules. As for hydro... In Québec in the winter the sun rises at 4am our wind is the best in north america. So we calculated that an investment of 6,000 for solor panels and a wind turbine should cover all our power needs. ((I'm having hard time thinking in english.. So if you find faults and need me to re-explain. Please do)
