Hello everyone, I would like to start off by saying that I'm not planning on doing this, nor am I in any sort of trouble, I was just thinking of something: is it okay to rat out a dealer that you don't buy from, but that person goes around ripping people off, or stealing or doing something of that nature that effects your friends and peers? Like if you were in some sort of trouble and could get out of it by ratting some asshole out that deserved it, would you consider it the right thing to do? What are your guyses opinions on this?
well if its personal situation of yours, elaborate. it depends on the situation. but most likely, 97% of the time i wouldn't rat him out.
Naw, not a personal situation going on right now, just bored and thinking early in the morning. I wouldn't rat someone out if I was in trouble, unless they did something really fucked up to me, my family or friends. What does everyone else think? Any stories of situations like this or anything?
I wouldn't either if they did something really shit, payback is the only way to go. Sell someone else out to get myself out of trouble though, I don't know, depends how much shit I was in.
Even if you did, merly telling the police that X is a dealer will not get X in any sort of trouble. I knew a guy who gave the police the name, number, and address of a dealer, plus how to call him and seem like you were cool, and the cops didn't do shit. 5 months later and he can still see him in the parking lot every day selling. It's really your word against theirs and unless they tap is phone or something they have no way to know. And doing that is not that easy for a cop, unless he bends the rules, and they often do. But only for big time dealers.
Just tell your friends and don't buy from him anymore, or spread the word that he cheats people. Fucking up his business is fine, but ratting him out is not cool.
its pretty rare that the person you describe could continue with out some one else doing the dirty work and ratting first..or someone pounding the shit of him...if its a ''rat or be charged''situation...thats different.....it WILL come back to haunt you
Sniching isn't right in almost any situation. Most of the time even if you think it's a "rat or be charged" situation it isn't. Cops convince people all the time that you can only get out of trouble by being a rat. This is almost never true and unless your lawyer (not the cops or anyone else) has told you that you are looking at serious time should you even consider it. Often cops get people to snich by tricking them into beliving they are in more trouble then they are.
Also there are other ways of dealing with a rip-off artist. Just tell evey one you know what a shady cat he is. Being a rat has ways of coming back to haunt people in strange ways.
Folks shouldn't consume something from a source while not knowing where it came from. If it's not pure unadulterated cannabis, it's not safe.
Lol, no I haven't been in trouble for anything in a while. When I got busted before the cops said I'd get some sort of deal if I snitched someone out, but am I supposed to believe a couple cops that make up a stupid story on a police report? no! I kept my mouth shut and still didn't get in much trouble. There is usually no "deal" anyways, they wouldn't give you anything if you did snitch, they'd just think you're a stupid stoner that gave them free information at not cost. The cops in this city are fucked and beat up the wrong people during their drug raids, so yeah thats an other reason why it would be really messed up to rat somebody out to save your own ass for some weed. It just doesn't seem like the best solution to get back at somebody for something, especially if the cops are just as untrustworthy.
I know of a dealer who sells these terrible thizz pills, he knows that they're awful and that poor kids are getting addicted to them. I wouldn't rat him out, but he deserves to be caught. I think if you're caught selling them in large numbers it goes down as man slaughter or something.
