do you guys think that as human beings, our purpose here is to destroy the planet?

not saying we cant rise above that (i.e. the beauty of human conciousness), nor am i saying its necessarily the REASON we were created... but perhaps overall and from a biological standpoint the reason we exist is to consume this planet.. maybe the largest and perhaps the final step in the balance equation that governs this planet is simply humans, ending everything entirely.

i took a large dose of a psychedelic last night and did extensive searching

just wanted to hear what you guys think :)

This planet is huge. Its much much more larger than it appears in maps... humans may even look like they have dominated the surface.. They have not.. Like ants on an Anthill- a bigger being just needs to come by and give it a swift kick in the ass.. Much like Mother Nature does to the human race..

you dont see any other species on the planet with a list of complaints.. just US.. Weak we are..

    definitely not. imo

we are parasites. we either parasite off our planet and destroy in the process, or parasite off of it while sustaining it and everything it holds. imo, it comes down to politics. like usual

right, obviously its not very likely humans are going to physically destroy the planet by blowing it into tiny pieces... im talking more in terms of the life on this planet. our purpose (again biologically speaking) is to destroy life on this planet

maybe i shouldnt necessarily say "destroy" life on this planet.. perhaps our purpose is to fuck it up so badly that the balance equation starts over.. new species are born, the planet begins a new era.

just thoughts ive been throwing around.. because alas, that is all we have

i totally agree we shouldnt fuck up this planet, im not using this as an exuse for a lifestyle of excess and over-indulgence.. im just saying.

look at history.. there would have to be a MASSIVE global wide shift in human conciousness to ever live entirely on a remotely sustainable level with this planet on a world wide basis. dont get me wrong, i hope the perspectives of the billions of people on this planet do change about this, but its just gotten to the point where realistically, i dont see that type of global wide awakening happening before we inevitably consume too much of this planet and what it has to offer.

    maybe we dont

like i said i was just speaking more about the equilibrium of everything in this planet and how intricately it is all connected... i think that from a biological standpoint this is where we are, and where we have always been going.. we have always been going in the direction of eco system destruction, regardless on how small/big of a level.

i think perhaps when you look at it in terms of the large scale of balance that is life and this planet.. we are simply the end of equation, or more likely just tipping the equation so badly that entirely new equations of balance are formed... the result being the earth essentially re-invents itself to survive based on these fucked up new equations that the earth is trying to balance because humans shattered the old system of homeostasis..

We've abandoned- even perverted our purpose of assuming a balancing role in the ecosystem... and are quite fortunately further along in destroying ourselves than we are in destroying the planet- which will recover after we've died off.

yeah its possible, but what things specifically do you think will destroy us all?

and both the ideal of sustainable living and the destructive spiral our culture follows are both relatively new things, so the 'battle' so-to-speak is in it's beginning stages. i think technology and science will provide that awakening to happen, as it slowly makes destructive fundamentals of our economic system obsolete. for the awakening to happen though, a massive crash in the current system needs to happen. i think it'll happen before we're all gone

as for animals and wildlife, once this susainability matter is handled can we then start a healing process to put earth's decisions back in order. those "decisions" may sound like some destiny thought process, but i don't think its quite the same because i think it comes down to goldilock effects of planets and astral matter, physics pretty much. imo humans are a new tier or step of beings happening and the subject of humans destroying the world is solely politics

what are you on about ruining the planet, we aren't ruining it at all... we're ruining it for us and maybe a few other creatures but that's what happens here, species die out because of others. just cos some animals die doesn't mean the planet is destroyed, the planet is STRONG and it'll take a lot more than a few billion humans to ruin it.
