I just want to say props to that question right there, this one was killing me till I remembered you can buy owner financed land sometimes with down payments, and my buddy gets 800$ a month for nothing. If I were you I would look for some gov. foreclosures on ebay they can run pretty low. You can find plenty of cheap property on ebay, most of the real cheap ones are gonna be quite the peice of work if ya wanna grow anything on them though.
Try realtor.com then refine your search according to property type, location and maximum price range. Best Regards, Roger.
