I think its a virus. My mom bought this virus scanning program yesterday, and it said that there was not a single virus or anything of that sort... which I find really odd, because everytime I ran Housecall on that computer there was never any less than 4 viruses/trojans. Also, our digital camera won't get accepted by the computer anymore and the headphone/speaker plug-in stopped working.... I think next its gonna explode :p

Damn...boredom...there's only so much guitar a man can play... add me to AIM!!

lol well the money I'm saving now is going towards future rent...hopefully I'll get bus money from my mom but I'm doubtful so I'll have to do that too... I'm getting an electric guitar for free (YAY for XMAS!) and then I'll get a job to keep paying for rent and possibly car insurance and I'd like to get a laptop sometime in the next year.. I think I'll need one for college anyway. Hopefully I can get a track scholarship for college (which would require me going back to a public hi school, which I want to do and will try to do if I get the place) or else I'm gonna be kinda fucked...

    Wow...I fucking hate money. [IMG]

Well... if it matters most to you, that'd be the way to do it right. :)

If JMHS isn't going to work out, I'll just try Keystone... :p The last thing I would ever want to do is become the profits and benefits of the government.

Of course, you pay taxes anyway, but on top of parents and non-parents both paying school taxes in the United States, the governments give $6000 for each student in Virginia. After that, you also pay for your supplies and all extras... lab fees, equipment fees, exploratory fees...

I mean, if they paid the $6000 going to all of this stuff, they would most likely have a hell of a lot of money left over.

Where is all of it going? It's certainly not going into my fund and it's not going to a college fund for me or anybody else... Don't get me wrong, my parents are going to still have to pay public taxes for the school in the United States which means they'd still get money, but the fact is, the $6000 they give for each student isn't going to amount to $6000 worth of an education. The teachers don't get paid that much... but the $100,000 plus going to administrative offices and the boards? Where's that coming from?

It'll be my death before they'll ever get their way from me. In the two months I went to high school, every asst. principal and person in administrative offices knew me by name, but I never sat foot in their offices or was sent for behavioral problems. :p

    I know :)
If I wasn't thinking about my future, I would have probably spent that all on a guitar. Whew, I'm sure glad I waited :p

JMHS isn't working out. They fucking suck [IMG]
We have sent them every single paper that is required. Luckily, I have saved all that they've sent me. Back on September 27th they sent me my introductory course and a paper that said that they have received my transcript and that it will take 2 to 4 weeks to process that... on November 23rd, they sent another letter that said the same exact thing. My mom has contacted our lawyer and he told her that he's talking with the Better Business Bureau... I don't knowwhat's going to happen with this, and I really don't care, but I would like to get JMHS's fuckups brought out to the public. I mean, it is my future that they are trying to fuckup. Or atleast it seems that they are trying to prevent me from graduating high school.

Here's its $7800 I think... When I tried enrolling into this other high school thats in another county (yet closer to me than my old school), that's how much we would've had to pay since we missed out-of-district registration.

ATLANTA -- Jason Scoggins will never graduate from high school, have a class rank or be recommended by his guidance counselor. But Oglethorpe University wants him anyway.

Jason, who is 17 years old, was home-schooled by his mother. After he scored 1,570 out of a possible 1,600 on his SAT college-admissions test -- with a perfect 800 in math -- Oglethorpe invited him to compete with other top applicants for five scholarships valued at about $100,000 apiece.

Of the 94 prospects in the Jan. 22 contest, eight were home-schoolers, each with SATs above 1,300.

The high scores are no fluke. As the movement grows larger and more diverse, evidence is mounting that home-schooling, once confined to the political and religious fringe, has achieved results not only on par with public education, but in some ways surpassing it. Though home-schooling may never be feasible for most families, the data offer little comfort to those who advocate a standardized curriculum as the best hope for improving American education. After all, each home-based pupil follows a unique lesson plan.

There is scholarship money for homeschoolers, hard to find.
But some colleges are realizing there is a goldmine out there in home school intellect.
And watch out for some of these trade schools and so called community colleges, they are sub-standard in my opinion.
I went to Commonwealth college in Norfolk VA. took computer programming and dropped out att he end of the first semester beacause my class couldn't get any computer time. I never sat down at one..not one time.

good luck in whatever you do,
    teepi
