stealth and suspense fan definitely. theres something about the way michael myers justs walks slowly instead of chasing after his victims that makes him a better character. they gotta stop making those halloween movies tho..its gettin a little old.
exactly. the first 2 had some depth and meaning. now its just like "hey lets see if we can get some topless college students, a few knives, a guy in a mask...and we got a movie people!" theres is no way they can stay true to michaels character if they keep going on with pointless movies
def, def, halloween. i love the eerie-where-is-hiding-now-why-wont-anyone-listen-to-her-screams-and-pleas- suspense stuff
Though stealth/suspense and gore have their rightful places in cinema, i actually prefer the both of them when they are done well and not needlessly, so ill have to go with the Halloween series (1,2,4,5,6)....
pah no halloween 3? that and 6 were the best of the bunch.. the one's where they tried summat new personally iv never really got the liking if either of em. halloween just takes too long for anything to happen. and the first couple of friday the 13th's didnt have a great deal of gore in em anyway
halloween 2 & 8, scream, and freddy vs. jason are the only slasher movies I like but for gore I prefer final destination 1 & 2
Vicar_in_a_Tutu, I liked Halloween over Friday the 13th. In the first Friday the 13th movie it was actually Jason's mother who did the killing -- and she turned out to be quite mortal. One of the scariests scenes in Halloween is when the Station wagon comes to a screeching halt after the girl's yell out to the driver (Michael Meyers) h
kjhippielove88, You're right it did suck but ALIEN Vs PREDATOR wasn't bad. The only problem I had was towards the end of the movie when they tossed aside reality altogether. The female hero was standing outside in 100 below weather, and in a pair of pants and a shirt and didn't instantly freeze to death. you couldn't even see her breath.... h
I am a die-hard Halloween fan. But I like them both equally. I think I have finally seen all of the Friday the 13th movies except for Jason X, but when it comes to Halloween, I liked them all except for Halloween 3: Season of the Witch and Halloween Resurrection.
As of now, eight Halloween films have been released. However, Season Of The Witch (Halloween 3) had practically nothing to do with the "The Shape" plot, (besides the remains of his burnt body and the original Halloween playing on a television.) According to The Internet Movie Database, Halloween 9 is in the works (progress unknown) for a release date of Halloween, 2005. In lieu of the question, I prefer to watch Friday the 13th but Halloween is a superior film. Peace
