    Hello,

Im looking to make a brew. I read that with Rue it is different, but with Caapi it is a ENTITY that works well with the Mimosa or ???????

Im trying to find recipes that have ingredients that are similar to what the Shamans/Curanderos use in South America. Such as Caapi etc...

    Thanks

    Peace

Just wanted to add to my first post...

What recipes do you prefer, and why? Is there really a big difference between Caapi or Rue?

there is certainly a difference in the alkaloid profile...

some would say the plant channel different "spirits" (or "connects to different teachers")

(caapi vine tea doesn't taste as awful as rueseed tea)
(dunno about caapi leaf tea vs. rueroot tea)

    ymmv...

Shamans/Curanderos in South America would use banisteriopsis caapi vine, and psychotria viridis leaves. ayahuasca and chacruna. the word ayahuasca refers to the plant and the brew.. same with the word yage. the vine is the essence of true ayahuasca. chaliponga, diplopterys cabrerana is used in place of chacruna by some shamans.

there is a jurema cult,( i think its dying) that uses mimosa hostilis rootbark,, that is a brew of only mimosa hostilis rootbark, no additional maoi s.
