you might also notice that they report the firefighters stood there and watched...when in fact they came for the other neighbor..did their job..and left without even talking to the first guy who through negligence caused the fire

bad reporting ...meant to stir shit up by appealing to the emotions of people who dont bother to find out the true facts

LOL. Poor sap. One would think it was a barn that went up in flames, with all the animals that were lost.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either you agree to let a person's house burn because they didn't pay the fee, or you don't give people fees for public services like fire fighting.

And gawd, I think fire fighting has to be the sexiest profession, but them there fyre depawtment ol' boys ain't all that becoming. That's the real shame of this story!

the fire department in question also excepts federal funds to cover most of it's cost... this wasn't to cut cost, they were already there to protect the neighbors house...the guy offered to pay anything, checkbook in hand..they said to late...and watched it burn.

Sad day for america... someone should press charges... this is governmental terrorism to force more money from the people. Federal funds help pay the operating cost for that fire station... This guy pays federal taxes... he forgot to pay a extra forced donation basically of $75. I hope the lawyers get'em good on this one!
