In 1970 the music world suffered a terrible double tragedy, first Jimi Hendrix, then Janis Joplin two weeks later. The sixties were truly over.
Same here! Actually, I didn't get to hear most of Joplin's music until after I bought my first record player. This would have been in the late 1970s. QP
I miss her! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56tsL_HJwaM&feature=related"]YouTube - JANIS JOPLIN PIECE OF MY HEART
Same here! And thanks for the link - it's so cool to celebrate her life by listening to her awesome music. QP
My older brother got me hooked on Janis. I've been addicted to her music for thirty years. I like a lot of bands/singers from the sixties, but Janis remains my favorite. QP
I can´t watching her, I´m not lesbian but I have a big tastes to kiss her everytime I see her on the screen O Just love her deeply, feel a big kinghood to her...it sounds silly, but when I saw her first (performing at the Ed Sullivan´s) I cried for a three days like person with some mental problems
There's a really awesome documentary about her (it's called Janis) that was first released in 1975. I bought the video in 1995, and it's the best: Lots of interviews, concert footage, and you even get to see Janis at her 10th annual high school reunion! I keep waiting for it to become available on DVD (with special features, I hope). QP
Dang, that's an impressive Joplin collection. Is it yours? It certainly puts mine to shame. Big time. QP
