One day old dreads!

So I grew dreads for about 18 months a few years ago, I cut them off to get a job (cry), now I've been in the job for one year, I had my friend backcomb my hair yesterday!

Just wanted to announce in an appropriate forum!

get rid of the rubber bands!

Nope, hate the stuff. I always play with my hair and couldn't stand having sticky fingers all day. (Not to mention sticky hair)

Last time I had dreads they looked like this initially, after 18 months they were fantastic

 

Watch out with those rubber bands, man... The consensus seems to be that you'll end up with molten rubber, chewing gum style, in your hair.

 

Rubber bands worked really well for me in the past, they do get soft and fat but I find they break out in that state. I hope that I won't need them this time, but I'm using them for the time being as they're super short
