I am curious if anyone thinks Jesus was black, and if so why? I am aware that the Levant was a center of interaction between many races and cultures, so Jesus being black is possible. Although Jesus is very clearly described as a Jew, which makes him most-likely of Hebrew descent. So does anyone think he was black?
crucifixes depict him with red.. with all the blood and stuff, maybe they are trying to cover up the fact hes native america.,. Mormon says that Jesus appeared to the American Indians during the 3 days between his execution and the discovery that his body had been resurrected...
A Jew from the mid-east. Most likely a hairy, olive skinned fellow with a shaggy haircut.(Jews at the time generally didn't have long hair). Be more specific, being a carpenter you'd also have to imagine he had rough and calloused hands, probably had some good muscles on his arms.
crucifixes also depict him as having nails driven through his hands...when in actuality if there were nails used, they would have have to have been driven through his wrists. his hand bones wouldn't have been able to bear the weight and the nail would have torn through. basically i don't see artists' depiction of jesus as a valid argument for really anything. probably i saw something on the discovery channel a while back about the missing jewish tribes...apparently scientists think they found one. a black african tribe in africa. they have a higher proportion of people with the "jew gene" than white/arab jews or something like that.
Jesus was black. If you look at history and know it the way I do.. He was black. First we must start with moses. Moses was once mistaken for an Egyptian.. now we all know Ancient Egyptians were dark in color. If you look at ancient heiroglyphs, they were black. They weren't dark skinned. They were black. The tribe of Juda was black. Paul was black. Most of the people in the Bible was black. You just had painters paint them white because they wanted to. They didn't want them to be black. End of story. I'm a white man btw.
