I live in a RV and my heat is generated by propane and i am currently out and i woke up last night freezing! Friday when i get paid i am going to invest in to a little electric space heater.
I know. I would really only need one but i like to be spoiled sometimes so i would really like to buy 2... but i can just buy one and get an electric blanket. That would be soo cool! Are they expensive? Probably so. Here lately its been nice and cool... I don't ever remember it being cool in the south during early october. Yesterday at like 1 in the afternoon it felt like 69.
for the cost of running an electric heater, you could grow marijuana.. natural gas is cheaper, than electric.. if you wanna stay warm: kick on the furnace while the weather is nice enough for you to air out ,while the dirt is burning off the elements..
Well it seems like an electric heater would be cheaper cause i don't pay electricity and i never use electricity except for the essentials like air and my alarm clock.. i am never home to use it we have a $50 limit any over 50 we have to pay so i could use that electricity with my heater... To fill both of my propane tanks it would cost me $40 at the least. One tank will last me one month with using it as my heat one tank will probably last me like half a month if i'm lucky.... It would cost me more to have to get my propane tanks filled.
Yeah electric blanket, I worded it that wrong.. I don't think they cost that much, well if you want a nice one, might be little pricey. but it will last long time
heated, electric... same thing. When you said heated i thought of electric and shocking myself cause im a clutz. ahhaha. So i ended up just electric heated sounds better... more soothing. Later on but not now i might invest in one of those. How much was yours?
Electric blankets expose your body to magnetic waves that are considered harmful. I am a little neurotic but it's true, and a blanket is going to be close to your body for long periods of time.
you cant talk sense into people,. same people that protest power-lines wrap themselves in E-blankets.. cause an E-blanket dont kill birds..
I got mine a few years back for x-mass, so I don't know how much it was. space heater will do fine, but it's nice to clim in a warm bed
i was cold the past few nights, we have our heater on right now (we got a new one for the upstairs so we are making sure it works) man it took forever to get cool here, just now starting to...BUT by the end of the week its supposed to be up b/w 78-82 F
It's been a damn cold fall...like as soon as September hit someone flicked an 'off switch' for summer. We usually don't have the heat on in our place until november, but it's been on the past few nights. Glad I moved out of the apartment I was living in for the summer..all electric baseboard heaters (the least efficient kind of heater) and an atrocious hydro rate would have left me broke all winter. The hydro company wanted a $600 deposit which is just foreshadowing what the bills were gonna be like. Was only $150 for the 3 months I lived there though which isn't bad considering it was a 2 level aprtment with washer/dryer/electric stove.
