turns up H.P Lovecraft.. Lovecraft's guiding literary principle was what he termed "cosmicism" or "cosmic horror", the idea that life is incomprehensible to human minds and that the universe is fundamentally alien. As early as the 1940s, Lovecraft had developed a cult following for his Cthulhu Mythos, a series of loosely interconnected fiction featuring a pantheon of humanity-nullifying entities, as well as the Necronomicon, a fictional grimoire of magical rites and forbidden lore. Well-written article.

A big problem with fighting the Tea Party is that you can't make people significantly smarter in a short period of time. That movement is a result of the failure of the American educational system. People who don't know how to think for themselves seek out manipulative leaders to think for them.

This piece was so long, I was going to just skim through it, but couldn't; I had to read every word it was so interesting.

They are still a leaderless mob. Disgruntled and dissatisfied, they cannot think past what they view on Fox and are easily persuaded. Shame really.
