put a refrigerator box over yourself/your bike. that way you can ride and it will still feel like you're in an enclosed space.
Order a GPS cell phone, and some pepper spray online... You will have some defense, always know where you are, and be able to call for help if anything bad happens... (You can place all the emergency numbers on speed dial)... I think that's how alot of people cope with their sense of insecurity?
thanks for that.. i've tried that.. only works once in a great while this is a dreat idea except i rarely drink and you can get a BUI for cycling drunk here nope.. plenty of spiders in here with me and we're cool unless they are on me of on the ceiling above me pure genius, but how will i see where i am going? them gps phones are pricey and i hate the crap cellphone i have now. i'd just end up pepper spraying myself or somehow get it in my eyes. funny because tomorrow i'm going to be IN the bicycle parade, but my security blanket aka boyfriend will be with me.. maybe. they might make us go to different sections. going outside should not be this challenging.
What about if you recorded your partner talking to you and then played it while you are out on your bike. Maybe it would help? I hope you are able to get out and enjoy the sun.
just pretend everyone else is naked also pretend they are all ugly so you dont get turned on and have nipples sticking out or people will stare at you
maybe.. but it's not the same at all. a lot of times when i HAVE to go out on my own i'm repeating all sorts of positive things people have said to me before. it's like if i do not have to go, i have a really hard time just going for the hell of it. everyone is naked too*, you mean... right?
ahahahah i would so do it if i wouldn't get arrested and it was common place... bugs me that boys/guys/dudes/men can go shirtless and i can't ... riding my bike with just a cape on would be AWESOME!
wow...not tonight...I just went outside to throw some bluebox stuff and everything is covered in frost
67f outside right now... thats cold to me. probably will be close to that tomorrow when i leave for the bike parade.
