i have been barefoot since greeting off work last wednesday 9/22 at 2am. unfortunately, my barefooting must end in a few hours because, i return to work. places i went barefoot in the last week local bars: golden lantern, checkpoint charlies, aunt tiki's, & the r bar. i went to the following stores barefoot stores: local grocery stores matassas, rouses, drug stores 2 walgreens stores, interestingly enough the walgreen's that i picked up my prescriptions at has kicked me out for being barefoot. i went to 2 coffee shops, ihop, and the laundry. of course walmart kicked me out, so i went to petco to purchase the items i would have bought at walmart. the cashier at petco gave me props for being barefoot. she said how much she hated shoes. the interesting thing about this young woman was the fact that she had dreadlocks, piercings, and tats. we both have a good laugh how such a non-comformist would give a shit about her feet being bare (lol).
As a member of management I can assure you Walmart doesn't have a policy against barefeet. Heck they can't refuse people with pets from coming in the store any more policy updated July 2009. Next time they question you ask them to print policy from the wire (that's their intranet for all policies) if you play your cards right you just might get a $25 gift card. Make some noise trust me. You will win
Thats good to know about walmart's "policy from the wire". I'll sure keep that in mind! I'm barefoot in walmart all the time - including today on the way home from work and I haven't been hassled in years. My own wonderful barefoot weekend starts today and I'm off until Monday, so no shoes till then.
