Hey there, I introduced myself in another forum, but this is my first "real post". :S

Anyone have tips on how to chill and enjoy myself well stoned?

I haven't smoked pot since I was 14 or 15, because I'd get like .. marijuanna induced panic attacks or some shit like that, but I really want to smoke again. I miss the beautiful euphoria I once felt, but it just went awry after a while. Is this even normal .. like most I know relax on it?

Thank you in advance. i'd appreciate any tips .. [IMG]

    Peace out.

Well, it's hard to say based on the little info you gave. Did you start getting panic attacks/bad highs every time, or was it just an occasional thing? If it's the latter, yeah, it's normal, bad highs happen. If it's the former, it's hard to say. It could be a real problem like panic disorder, or it could just be a self fulfilling prophecy: you expect the bad high and so you have one. Weed is very mental, so it's important to have the right set and setting. Set being your mood and mindset of the day, and the setting being your environment. Maybe if you always smoked with other people, you could try smoking alone, with some good music on and candles lit...because maybe you just need to mix things up and see that you can have a good experience. Sometimes other people and their attitudes can induce bad feelings, so try something different. If you usually smoke inside, go outside and take a walk (smoke inside though, so no one catches you!).

You might want to smoke in a familiar setting with a close friend. Have some relaxing music playing and turn down the lights a bit. Sometimes, intense boredom could set in if you are just sitting around. It's often good to have paper and pencils to draw with or write with. If things do get bad, it's important to raise your blood sugar which will help the high cool off faster (apparently having pineapple around is a good idea for this) but most important, when having a panic attack is to feel safe, that's why it's good to be in a familiar place. Have a blanket close by and relax:) good luck

yeah being around ppl whom you dont care know that you smoke is what you want,

having any chance of someone come around that you dont want knowing is not good

chilling out with friends who also do it is the best, by far, go out and enjoy a day around town with friends or just hanging out somewhere, like last summer four or five of us every day we would get ripped up and play horseshoes and go to park and run around town and whatever, never anything bad or even remotely close to it, who ever could get some green for the day or night it didnt matter who it would all go to the same place, to everyone in the form of passing the bowl, around and around til we couldnt anymore

then went and did whatever wherever

    its great times :D

    good luck

Your high is all mental. You're feelings that day will problably be reflected when you smoke, so just make sure you go into it with a good attitude. Also make sure you are in a place where you are comfortable and know you won't get caught. You should smoke with a couple of good friends who don't get paranoid and will have a good time, because a lot of times what others feel will influence how you feel. If i feel myself starting to worry about something i just talk myself out of it and focus on something positive and the feeling tends to go away.

I started getting those a little over 2 months ago, and I quit. I've only smoked a few times since, and I'd really like to again, but I don't think i'd be able to yet. Oh well, just give it time. You have to figure about what is causing them though.
