My grain on the mustache part of my beard criss crosses in the middle of my upper lip. I've just recently started shaving a notch to alleviate the uncomfortable sensation of the hairs touching each other. I want to get a strait razor that barbers use because I can't make the notch real small with a regular shaving razor going side to side with the long end up and down. I asked someone and they said it isn't noticeable but I see it and think it looks too wide. Anyone do this?
I have a natural part (very thin, but still there) between the two sides of my moustache, so I don't have this issue. However, I find that every guy that grows facial hair has some abnormality. It's not even really fair to call them abnormalities, since everyone seems to have something. Me? I have trouble growing hair on my chin. Like, right in the middle. Yeah, it grows there, just much less quickly and thick than everywhere else. Weird.
Hmmmm. Notch in the middle of the moustache? Might just try that. I generally tailor mine to "Happy", no hair connecting stash and goatee, or "bad dude", the opposite. You will always notice more about your look than others do, but whatever you feel when you see yourself in the mirror is probibly close to what others will pick up on.
