Ok so me and my college buddy have been discussing a plan to grow shrooms in our dorms... We both have appt. suite style dorms so its deff possible. We would be using the tech. we watched from a video I saw posted here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHJQrsZFQdE"]YouTube - Let's Grow Mushrooms! pf tek part 1).... We have all the supplies accounted for and the cost.... My concerns are..... 1. How bad will the process smell? Will it stink up a room? Whole appt? idk? 2. fungi isn't a plant obviously, so it doesnt have chloroform, thus tech. they dont need sunlight..... But I read conflicting things about whether or not.... How should I go about that?? 3. any other good advise will be taken so say anythin relevant please THANKS!
1: not much, the boxes them selfs kinda smell musty 2:you need a bit of light to trigger pinning and growth i do believe 3:shroomery, any mold and u gata toss and start new good luck
The best piece of advice I can give is this: don't grow in a dorm room. It's a stupid idea. If anything, find a way to do it outdoors.
smell is a non issue. fluorescent light recommended. at least 10 hours a day, doesn't need to be direct light. 1 light for a closet, probably length wise. 36 fuckin 5 is pretty much your best source of advice. might wanna keep that in mind.
smell is an issue. when someone fails and dont catch it fast enough, before someone else searches for whats smelling funky or -spoiled in the room...
yeah, if/when you get mold, it's gonna be a bitch to try and get rid of a whole grow op of mushrooms without getting no attention drawn to you.
