Finally my package arrived today with some 10x salvia. I had to try it out there and then, i could be impatient that way. Anyhoos i loaded up my bong took one big hit and held it in for as long as i could, before i got a chance to take a second hit BOOM! it happened.

It felt like a very strong dizzy spell and when i had managed to focus i had moved to the other end of my room but had no memory of how i got there. I seemed to think i was going out somewhere but i never new what the hell was going on.

My bedroom seemed to be twisting upside down so i had to lie down on my bed before i fell then all of a sudden i seemed to get this burning sensation on my head and legs then felt a strong force pulling me towards my bedroom door.

I had gotten back up at this point but was trying to sit back down i blurted out "this is weird" and kinda drooled at the same time" i managed to resist this pulling force and sit back down at which point i heard some kinda chanting, it reminded me of the sound a steam train would make though it sounded human.

The experience never lasted long but it took me a good ten minutes to comprehend what had just happened and familiarize myself with my house again.

All together i enjoyed it though it was a bloody shock no matter how many trip reports i have read on it. But i think it will be better tonight when its dark and i have some appropriate music on, also i'll need to try and stay still next time lol

    :D

Oh yea, sounds pretty much like my first salvia experience =)
I would like to try out fresh leaves. The trip is longer and more intense.

Very intresting that alot of people report this "pulling force".
On my trip it was so strong that it hit me against a shelf, it didn't hurt luckily. *lol*
Kinda weird feeling. I love the Blackout Moment, its like you get reborn and take your first thoughts... How am I? Where am I? What am I doing here?

Actually it was more of a pushing force when i think about it because it was coming from behind me and my door was in front of me. Weird stuff though huh, ive read about people getting that aswell. It was almost like magnetic repulsion.

Interesting first experience. Sounds like you got a goodly dose . . .

Do you have someone who could maybe trip-sit for you next time?

i haven't done Salvia Divinorum recently for a variety of reasons, one of the main ones being that i am prone to the "Salvia sleepwalk."

    Please stay safe.

nah i dont have a sitter, just my family in the house, i tend to do these things alone at night in my bedroom so i dont need to face anybody.

whats a goodly dose btw lol ? a good dose ?

Also the salvia sleepwalk whats that ? is that when you get up and walk about when your getting the effects of salvia, ive seen so many people do that on youtube aswell.

Im about to get stuck into the rest of this salvia in about 30 mins i'll keep things posted ;)

i'm about to read your next report . . .

i understand that an active dose of Salvinoran A is in the 250 microgram range. It is hard to estimate one's actual dose by smoking the enhanced leaves (the way we do), but often there is discussion of effects. Sounds like you got some of the main ones. Unfortunately, that included the amnesia/confusion and "Salvia sleepwalk."

Salvia Divinorum has both psychedelic and dissociative features about it. Many users, such as myself, have a tendency to get up and walk around while immersed in a convincing 3-D "sage-space" vision. This is called the Salvia sleepwalk. This is not a good situation. When it happens to me i am so disconnected/dissociated from my body that i could easily break my nose or a tooth or fall down a flight of stairs without even noticing it or understanding why until it was all over.

You see these crazy and sadistic Youtube videos of young people giving each other Salvia. This has caused it to become quasi-legal in the USA, currently legal in some states and illegal in others. These young people are NOT using Salvia in an entheogenic manner. i'd say they just wanted to get "high," but the Salvia experience is so weird and unpredictable i sometimes wonder if they just want to laugh sadistically at their friends.

Anyway, Salvia sleepwalk can get anyone into trouble quick. Also, there's no really reaching anyone actively immersed in sage-space. No point in trying to talk them through (Never fool yourselves about talking anyone "down," ever). Just try to keep them physically safe and ensure they don't harm themselves. Try repeating simple phrases over and over and over like "sit down."

One way i would try to prevent the sleepwalk would be to tell myself to stay on the bed just as the trance was descending. This had mixed results - i quit walking around for awhile, but i frequently reared up in the bed and waved my hands all over the place - also tended to sit up, sway and fall over on my side. . . .

    Salvia begs for a sitter . . .

I have gotten that feeling on Salvia where I need to lie down or cling to my bed and 'i'm gonna fall' feeling as well. I feel like it's going to all of a sudden just going to drop me from it's clutches and ill splat on the ground of salvialand (Remember my magic carpet analogy)

I've heard a few people now, including some friends i've taken it with in real life mention the train thing. I have yet to experience this effect on it, yet I do often feel like i'm moving.

Here is what it was for me: (thumbs down).
Here is what happened: first off, I'm 40 years old and have tried and liked just about everything that alters consciousness. I consider myself well informed about most substances and used to trip fairly often (LSD) with the purpose of gaining some kind of value from the experience. (either from insight or intellectual contemplations)
So, my best friend out of the blue brings to my house a bag of 20x extract and he knows I have been interested in salvia due to what I had been reading on-line and my love for all things psychedelics. Boy, what a perfect day I thought for it. Sunday and no work today, wifey and kidz gone for the afternoon, my chores done, bills paid...I am ready for this :(and its legal, short acting, safe from all I heard...no biggee for a seasoned astronaut like me)....I even spend 15 minutes before hand in mindful meditations of love and peace.
OK, here I go...one big hit...hold it in, not unpleasant in the lungs, almost minty cool, still holding it in...my friend asks "feel anything yet?". I shake my head no...nothing. I let out the smoke....
HA HA HA, this is so funny, funniest thought I ever had but before I have a chance to consider the concept (whatever it was), the wall behind me (I am sitting on my bed) sucks me in..and quite violently too without permission. Now all semblances of reality and physical structure is gone/are gone....but good and gone. All I know is that I am in a dimension of no escape because "no other alternatives possible". Its a horrible vortex pulling me and I wish I could either "go with it" or "get off it" . I know nothing but mindless horrors of an eternal hell. (No time exists so I will be like this forever I'm thinking....not good...its not changing either....eternal emptiness while being extremely UNCOMFORTABLE!!!)
Wow, like that in a instant I come back to my room and see my friend looking concerned. I am perfectly fine..no headache, barely a trace of salvia experience left.
True, I did gain a valuable experience (I can now imagine hell...a place without god). I just don't recommend it to anyone.
Love to all, maybe the plant thought I needed a little scare in my life.
It was truly the biggest scare I have ever had.

The legal status of Salvia, improper smoking techniques (leading people to like compare it to weed and stuff), and like videos on youtube all give a distorted perception of Saliva.

It really is one of the most valuable entheogenic experiences there is. It truly is in a class all it's own at the moment. It's got the very dark edge and complete disengration like dissassociatives but has a very wise and spiritful nature like psychedelics.

I think you meant psychonaut (not astronaut :p) but I think the experience definitely deserves a few attempts and you shouldn't get to discouraged by being caught off guard the first time breaking through. It can be a very positively powerful experience.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply (psychonaut a better word). I was thinking maybe my age had closed off my mind, or that what I got was what I get for messing with (my word only) a "deleriant" like jimson weed or belladonna.

What you have said gives me pause: IF I ever again try to dance with 'sally', maybe a lesser dose would be better, yes?
    By the way.....having a sitter a must.
    love

For me personally I enjoy the heavy breakthrough space, but I do occasionally go slightly below that, salvia like DMT is all about the vision for me though.

I travel alone on it but yes for initial use in particular I definitely recommend a sitter as well.

I think now that you 'know' where it can take you, you can kind of brace yourself a little better maybe. I definitely still get overwhelmed by it when I do it but I have learned to roll with the experience a little better and I don't wander or even really laugh and all that stuff like I used to when I first started using it.

If you use MDMA it synergizes remarkably well with salvia. I've smoked salvia on the Mdma comedown a few times and it takes me to a very different place than either substance used alone and the commonly reported negative aspects of salvia: harsh body load, lost or tricked feeling are counteracted somewhat by MDMA's euphoric bodyload and reassurance.

Does the quid method cause breakthroughs?
