i've been taking valium daily for 2 months now, 10 mg two times daily for agitation and anxiety.

lately i wake up in the morning, i feel as if there are pins in my body and im sweating real bad, lately ive been getting shakes as well, and getting very pissed off in certain periods throughout the day.

would it be alrite to talk to a doctor about it? because i dont know if i am, cause im not been abusing them ive been taking as prescribed.

    any opinions?

yer age, on 20mgs of diazepama day... you know, its does not make you less agitated .. its making you lethargic so you react less to irritating stimuli .. life is irritating.. a letharigic person cant irritate others. you must be the life of the party..

You don't have to ABUSE benzos to become addicted. You are still taking them enough for your body to get used to having them, so when you go for a while without them, your body reacts.

consider stopping the benzos or cutting the dose way down and going for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Thats crazy- how can a doctor prescribe you Benzos for such a long time? I would never take that longer than a week, after that it gets difficult when you stop them Benzos.
Anyway it will take months to be yourself again, well centered, after such a long time.

Did you try Valerian(a) for sleeping?

Yes that would be better, gives you a much better sleep- quality than Benzos with much less side effects. In the begin you might need a high dosis to cover the withdrawl syndroms of the Benzos.
    good luck

I had a surgery that had a few (minor) complications, and I ended up taking liquid vicodin 2xday for almost a month. It took me about two weeks to be able to sleep right, and for the first few days after stopping it would get cold sweats and shakes. No one should ever take an opiate or narcotic pain killer for more than, say, a week or two tops.

Whether you have stopped them or are still taking them and experiencing this, go to your doctor. He will know if something is wrong better than any of us on here. Take care. :)
