Okay guys heres a question but i'm not saying it is. Is the occultism evil?? Last year I was partying a lot and doing a lot of prayer and getting really spiritual and I started having demons talk to me while i was high and stuff. And then this year out of curiosity I bought a tarot deck and that night I saw in this bowl I was drinking water out of an image form of a girl praying to a chinese looking dragon, which was really kewl, and then I shook it up to see if it'd form anything else and it formed a creepy looking skeleton.

and then I looked at the tv because my roommate was watching a movie with his girl friend and in the background of the movie I saw a really strong looking face.

so is this stuff evil?? to say none the least its very interesting.

    The cult is mind numbing.
Ideas about cultivating our goodness are ideas that we grow out of instead.

Occult from it's root means of the cult. Culture is occultist, mans effort to master the forces of his own nature. There is a difference in form between occult and cults. I am demonstrating a sameness in content between them.

    First we have cult

    cult [kult]
    (plural cults)
    n
    1. religion: a system of religious or spiritual beliefs, especially an informal and transient belief system regarded by others as misguided, unorthodox, extremist, or false, and directed by a charismatic, authoritarian leader
    2. religious group: a group of people who share religious or spiritual beliefs, especially beliefs regarded by others as misguided, unorthodox, extremist, or false
    3. idolization of somebody or something: an extreme or excessive admiration for a person, philosophy of life, or activity (often used before a noun)
    the cult of youth
    a cult hero

    4. object of idolization: a person, philosophy, or activity regarded with extreme or excessive admiration
    5. fad: something popular or fashionable among a devoted group of enthusiasts (often used before a noun)
    has taken on cult status

    6. cultural anthropology system of supernatural beliefs: a body of organized practices and beliefs supposed to involve interaction with and control over supernatural powers
    7. sociology elite group: a self-identified group of people who share a narrowly defined interest or perspective

[Early 17th century. Directly or via French < Latin cultus "worship" < colere "cultivate"]

    Then we have occult

    oc·cult [ə kúlt]
    adj
    1. supernatural or magic: relating to, involving, or characteristic of magic, witchcraft, or supernatural phenomena

    And finally culture

    cul·ture [kúlchər]
    n (plural cul·tures)
    1. arts collectively: art, music, literature, and related intellectual activities, considered collectively
Culture is necessary for a healthy society.
    popular culture

    2. knowledge and sophistication: enlightenment and sophistication acquired through education and exposure to the arts
    They are people of culture.

    3. shared beliefs and values of group: the beliefs, customs, practices, and social behavior of a particular nation or people
    Southeast Asian culture

    4. people with shared beliefs and practices: a group of people whose shared beliefs and practices identify the particular place, class, or time to which they belong
    5. shared attitudes: a particular set of attitudes that characterizes a group of people
The company tries hard to avoid a blame culture.

    6. growing of biological material: the growing of biological material, especially plants, microorganisms, or animal tissue, in a nutrient substance culture medium in specially controlled conditions for scientific, medical, or commercial purposes
    7. biotechnology biological material grown in special conditions: biological material, especially plants, microorganisms, or animal tissue, grown in a nutrient substance culture medium in specially controlled conditions for scientific, medical, or commercial purposes
    8. tillage: the cultivation of the land or soil in preparation for growing crops or plants
    9. improvement: the development of a skill or expertise through training or education
    physical culture

vt (past and past participle cul·tured, present participle cul·tur·ing, 3rd person present singular cul·tures)
    1. grow biological material in special conditions: to grow biological material, especially plants, microorganisms, or animal tissue, in a nutrient substance culture medium in specially controlled conditions, for scientific, medical, or commercial purposes
    2. agriculture cultivate plants: to cultivate plants or crops
    3. nurture somebody or something: to nurture somebody or something, especially in order to advance your own interests
She spent a great deal of time culturing new contacts on Capitol Hill.

[13th century. Via French < Latin cultura "tillage" < cult- , past participle of colere "inhabit, cultivate"]

I think it's more likely that you're mentally unstable than that you were actually granted visions to the worlds beyond when you get high. I mean... shit man...

Mark Twain had a quote that went something like, "Stare into the abyss, and the abyss also stares into you." It is not evil to delve into the unseen and/or unknown. But just know what you're getting yourself into. It's like taking a walk down a dark road. Something bad may happen, something good may happen. But be ready for anything. And there are many tricks down in that abyss.

Oh and the demons can't hurt you. They talk and try to scare, but just tell them no. They really are weaker than you, unless you're afraid. I've ran into many a' evil spirits in my day, several powerful ones too, and they can only do what you fear they can do. And if you don't know why you're afraid of them, they can do anything.

    Don't do anything against nature.
    Don't harm anyone else.
    Don't make yourself vulnerable.
    You'll be fine.
    Explore what you will.

Right on buddy. Although I must point out you really misquoted there. Friedrich Nietzsche said that, not Mark Twain.

lol I *do* think it was Neitzsche my friend... 'occult' means hidden = occult / esoteric knowledge - concealed... nothing to be afraid of. No fear is justifiable... everything is simply a reflection of yourself, all demons are your own, and death is life... :)

It was definitely Nietzsche. If it is attributed to Mark Twain, that's probably just the result of ignorant Americans thinking that if it's a good quote, it must've come from their master of literature. Definitely definitely Friedrich, I actually study this stuff, don't be so obstinate Sam.

I find religions or beliefs that go to war and kill thousands of people to be more evil. Just stay away from the sacrifice of humans or animals...

how about not staring into the abyss??

how about staring into the window of heaven or such notion?? and heaven stares at you thru the window.

dont forget to remember you were designed to live a life of goodness as part of infinite goodness that created your spirit.

    and

somehow infinite goodness lost track of us 'in transit' and allowed us to be dropped into human bodies on a planet of 6 billion sufferers.

isnt it time to end the suffering?

so buddhists can get on with something better. if for no other reason. :sunny:

Ok I have studied occultism, philosophy, the esoteric, and the global shift for some time now. Let me clear the air.
Occultism is what I call the basics of esoteric knowledge and study.
There are many esoteric paths, but cults and occult are different things. Cults are more like black lodges, etc.
This goes with the quote from Twain/Nietzsche/whoever, but generally it is not the tools and skills that make a man/woman, but the contents of his/her heart.

Nonetheless you need be careful. If you were high when you saw these then well...ok.
If not, google grounding and blocking and trust in the source of what is good inside of you will protect you.

mayanlongcount I try to stare into God everyday which would be the equivalent of heaven if you just made the words God and Heaven synonymous the same thing with god and life.
